GreenSmart Mandrill Laptop Backpack Review and Giveaway

Even before I became a blogger, I would have a difficult time separating myself from the computer.  As soon as I purchased my first laptop it came everywhere with me and quite frankly never had a real "home".  Because of this my laptops have always taken a real beating.  I have even spent quite a bit of money on nice brief cases or sleeves to protect each one.  But for some reason they either haven't worked as promised or just haven't worked well for me.

I have to say I was very excited when I was given the opportunity to review one of the products by GreenSmart.  The biggest reason not even being that I'd get to try a new way to travel with my laptop but because this is a way cool company.  They choose to use "eco-friendly materials and socially responsible labor" to design and create each of their bags.

I chose the Mandrill Laptop Backpack to review since it really seemed to fit my style!  Since one of my major complaints is lugging around all sorts of heavy stuff after having kids, the Airmesh padded back and shoulder straps sounded absolutely premium!  There is also an exterior cording for easy transport of my childrens shoes, jackets, or hats.  And the best part is that there are two separate padded compartments for keeping my laptop safe and still storing other things electronic and not.

"The fabric in this product, both the exterior and interior, are derived from 100% post consumer
recycled plastic bottles. This process is the end point for the process which begins with the collection of bottles, which become ground up, washed to become fiber, spun into yarn and woven into our fabrics. The overall process also uses less energy than making polyester out of virgin chemicals."  Can you say awesome since we know there are billions of plastic water bottles polluting our earth and landfills!?

Cost:  $74.95 Mandrill Laptop Backpack
Available to purchase:  GreenSmart
Recommendation:  I don't know...on one hand I have fallen completely in love with this bag and would recommend it to everyone and anyone.  But on the other it is really expensive for a backpack and I could never see myself spending that kind of money on something like this.  I guess you get what you pay for and the quality GreenSmart provides is totally worth every penny.

Clean+Green by SeaYu Fabric Refresher Review and Giveaway

Please wait while picture loads
I consider myself to be a big animal lover but with having lots of them comes the smells on EVERYTHING.  Even though I have always had multiple animals, I have tried very hard to keep my home from smelling that way.  In the past this meant burning candles and air fresheners in every outlet.  Well, that was until I had kids. now candles are a rarity and only up high and the lower outlets have baby plugs in them.  Now I also have to worry about the additional smells that come with kids (oh and I have boys so I've got it even worse)!

HomeWetBar.com On-Ice Mixed Drink and Beer Dispenser Review

HomeWetBar.com
Okay so by now you should know we are big entertainers and quite the party'ers in my household.  We love preparing all sorts of food and drinks for people in our home to enjoy.  Part of it is that I love to clean, set up and get ready for anything (although my husband thinks I'm a nut because of it).  Anyway, just about every holiday we have a get together of some sort whether it adults only or a family friendly party.  The exciting part about throwing all of these parties is finding new gadgets and recipes to impress all of my friends and family with.  In browsing around for something new for this years Superbowl, I stumbled on HomeWetBar.com.

Talk about entertaining, they've got you covered from even the smallest product such as drink stirs to full on in home wet bars or tiki bars.  There is every accessory you could need for any type of home or party you could throw.  My personal favorite would be the kegerators!

In celebration of the recent Superbowl, I was given the opportunity to review the On-Ice Mixed Drink and Beer Dispenser.  This is really a great gadget as it has an inner tube reservoir for holding ice to keep your beverages cold with out watering them down.  So whether you're entertaining children by the pool on a hot summer afternoon or maybe an adult luau, your drinks are sure to taste icy cold for several hours.

Because our Superbowl party was kid friendly this year, we decided to impress the kiddos with our new beverage dispenser.  While putting our dispenser together we also discovered that there is an option to purchase it with a light which would glow through its inner reservoir.  However, ours did not come with this option.  There was a place on top to stick a card as well to label the drink (just in case).  They loved every bit of it and thought it was something special for them.  It also helped us have very little mess to  clean up after the party.  Every piece on the dispenser easily comes apart for quick cleaning and there was no dripping mess throughout the evening left on my counter.

Cost:  $44.95 On-Ice Mixed Drink and Beer Dispenser
Available to purchase:  Home Wet Bar
Recommendation:  I can't wait to use this again for St Patrick's Day with maybe a fun green "adult" beverage this time.  Although this may be a little pricey it is a great alternative to having watered down or warm beverages!  With your drink at your side you don't seem as concerned with price!!

LevAqua 5 in. One Touch Showerhead in Chrome Review and Giveaway

     LevAqua Logo

Now, I know I'm not alone in saying that shower time is one of those times you try to get the most out of 5 to 10 minutes as you possibly can.  I am also sure I'm not the only picky one out there about the water pressure.  Although, I am sure I'm one of the few people who is frequently concerned about the amount of water I'm using and how long I need to be in the shower.  As a family of five, we tend to always have someone in the bath or in the shower each night and every morning.  I can only imagine how much water we use in a day with all the laundry and showers.  So, if there is a way I can help save a little each shower or bath I'm going to try to do it.  Luckily, I discovered LevAqua.

I was given the opportunity to review LevAqua's One Touch shower head.  Now I actually want to start off by saying this is one of the coolest shower heads I have ever used in my life!  The shower head not only is low flow but it also has a "pause" button if for some reason you'd like to stop the water to conserve it while you're doing something that may not require a constant flow.  It also has a timer that you can set so you know how long you've been in the shower and have it automatically shut off at say 10 minutes.

The shower head is also awesome because it's one of those extremely large head's that supposed to feel like a spa waterfall.  Even with the low flow and the larger head, the pressure is still amazing!  I can't stand when I'm in the shower and it just barely trickles out (not even enough to rinse off my skin or my hair).  There are a number of settings to choose from to increase the pressure (while saving 20% water) or to have a pulsating, massaging effect.  You can also select a program to rotate every 5 minutes between each setting.
Cost:  $59.99 Model # FH220SC
Available to purchase:  Home Depot
Recommendation:  Get one!  These are no more expensive that your average "quality" shower heads.  It actually works the way it says it will and has transformed my shower into my own personal spa!

Mystic Pieces Bracelet Review and Giveaway / Valentine's Day Giveaway Hop

You now I'm not usually a big jewelry person but that doesn't mean I don't like to shop for it.  I mean, really how many girls do you know that don't like jewelry.  I just consider myself to be a little bit more on the low maintenance side.  Since I very rarely dress up, there is no need to change my jewelry all the time.  Every once in awhile though, I come across a piece of jewelry or designer that catches my eye.  This recently happened to me while browsing on the Etsy Shops.

Lucky Leaf Pie Filling/Recipe Book Review and Giveaway

During this time of year we tend to bake and entertain quite a bit.  During the month of February, there are my daughter, my sister, and my birthday and well as Valentine's Day.  Then come March, there is my hubby and son's birthday and St. Patty's Day.  Needless to say we celebrate a lot.  Now I usually try to make everything from scratch when I can but we all know around these times it can be very difficult especially if you have young children (I learned that the hard way this past holiday season).  So when Lucky Leaf asked me to do a review of their pie fillings, I was more than happy to.
