     You now I'm not usually a big jewelry person but that doesn't mean I don't like to shop for it.  I mean, really how many girls do you know that don't like jewelry.  I just consider myself to be a little bit more on the low maintenance side.  Since I very rarely dress up, there is no need to change my jewelry all the time.  Every once in awhile though, I come across a piece of jewelry or designer that catches my eye which is how I discovered The Pretty Peacock.  A friend of mine and fellow blogger was wearing one of the family necklaces that I just fell in love with.

• Kroger Plus Rewards Card incentive program gives for every $100 you spend at Kroger using your store loyalty card, receive a deduction of $0.10 on any grade fuel on your next fill up at a participating fuel center.  Limit car only, up to 25-gallons maximum fill up. Dorfman Pacific SCALA COLLEZIONE Collection Sun Hat Review

With summer already here, I was recently asked by Dorfman Pacific to review the SCALA COLLEZIONE collections newest sun hat - the Sewn Ribbon Crusher.  Not only does my mother wear these all summer long, but I have also been looking at purchasing my first one as well.  They just seem so fun and flashy to wear around the pool or at the beach.  I even wanted it to wear while working in my garden.

I honestly haven't a clue as to what exactly I can say to all of you about a hat.  I mean really it's a hat.  What do you say - you either love it or hate it.  It's just that - A Hat.

Zipit Bedding Review

     When we moved two years ago from our large 3 level home to a much smaller single level home, we ran into several obstacles - one big one being space as I so obviously just mentioned.  My teenage daughter is very fortunate when it comes to physical possessions, however because her room size was cut in half during the move she was forced to get creative in the storage of all her things.  We decided when we moved to build her a loft bed.  We hoped this would help open up her room a bit more but it has really hindered her bed making skills (as if they weren't bad enough, haha).

      I recently came across Zipit Bedding which is actually geared towards teaching little ones how to make their beds and making it a much easier transition on them.  The great thing about this bedding though is the way we were able to use it universally between our children and especially for our picky teenager.  The fitted sheet slides over the mattress just like a normal one.  The difference is the comforter itself zips to the fitted sheet making it easier for little ones (or in our case hard to reach
beds).  It even has a cute little zip pocket near the top which was perfect for Alana to keep her cell phone since the average nightstand doesn't even come close to the height of her bed. 

     Zipit Bedding comes in twin and full sizes and two colors - pink or blue.  Unfortunately, Alana wasn't thrilled with the pattern even though i thought it was cute.  I might have even been better off even going with the blue pattern even with the boy pattern it matched her room a bit better.

Recommendation:  This is a fantastic idea at either price but especially at the discounted one of course.  My only complaint is that I'd like to see more patterns.  This would even make a great gift for the college bound heading to the dorm rooms!

• Accepts manufacturer and store coupons
• Walgreens store coupons are found in the weekly Walgreens sales circular released every Sunday.  You can find this circular in your Sunday paper or in the  entrance of your store.  These in-ad coupons nearly always state a limit on the number of products you may purchase using the coupon.
• Another great way to save at Walgreens is with their monthly coupon booklet found near the entrances by the weekly ads.  You will not need to clip these. If you are buying 2 of the same item and there is a coupon for it, simply show it to the cashier and she will scan it once. If you bought 2 items, it will apply the coupon 2 times. These are store coupons and can be used in conjunction with manufacturer coupons to maximize savings.
• There are also free magazines/or coupon packets found frequently near the pharmacy or beauty counter. They have articles as well as a mix of both Walgreen store coupons and manufacturer coupons.  The store coupons, obviously, must be redeemed at Walgreens.  The manufacturer coupons may be redeemed at any store.
• Store loyalty prints incentives called Register Rewards (RR) - you do not need a card for these and they usually expire 2 weeks from the date they printed and are used similar to catalinas.
• Register Rewards ring through the register as a manufacturer coupon. Register Rewards will not “roll”.  You can only use one mfr coupon per item AND you cannot use a RR you received for a specific product for the same product.
• Example:  You purchased a Gillette Razor and received $4 in RR.  Your next visit you decide to buy another Gillette Razor, you cannot use the original $4 RR to discount the current razor.
• The cash register at Walgreens will not allow the cashier to accept more manufacturer coupons than total products purchased.  All you need to do to fix this problem is purchase what we call a “filler” item to be sure the amount of coupons equals the amount of products.

• Store loyalty card prints incentives called Extra Care Bucks (ECB) Be sure to check limits to purchases as these are associated with each card number. One cool thing about the Extra Bucks program being tied to your Extracare card is that if you purchase $10 of the participating product on Sunday and then $5 more of it on Thursday, you will receive the Extra Buck at the bottom of the receipt the day you complete the required purchase amount.  Your card tracks and totals your purchases for you.
• When redeeming ECB, you need to know that if you redeem a $2.00 ECB on a $0.99 total, you will forfeit the additional $1.01 value.
• Check your magic coupon center every visit and scan your card.  Coupons will print similar to Catalina's except you don't need to purchase anything to get the coupon.  (This machine looks similar to a price checker machine) it’s even a good idea to scan your card more than once.
• Extra Care Bucks ring through the register as a store coupon and are like cash
• Check your CVS for their clearance sections.  Some have a dedicated section or end cap, others have clearance in each section throughout the store.  You can identify this by a yellow and white tag on the shelf.
• At CVS if you find that a product which was part of an Extra Buck promotion is out of stock, simply let your cashier know and she will write you up a rain check.  The great part about CVS is that they will write the rain check for the price the product would have been after Extra Bucks AND there is no expiration for this raincheck.
• If you purchase a green bag leaf, you can have it scanned each time you bring a reusable bag in for your purchase.  Every 4 scans an ECB will print so its like getting $.25 a bag which is more than any other store

Kushyfoot Open Toe Flats To Go Review

• Accepts manufacturer and store coupons
• Store loyalty card prints incentives called Extra Care Bucks (ECB) Be sure to check limits to purchases as these are associated with each card number. One cool thing about the Extra Bucks program being tied to your Extracare card is that if you purchase $10 of the participating product on Sunday and then $5 more of it on Thursday, you will receive the Extra Buck at the bottom of the receipt the day you complete the required purchase amount.  Your card tracks and totals your purchases for you.
• When redeeming ECB, you need to know that if you redeem a $2.00 ECB on a $0.99 total, you will forfeit the additional $1.01 value.
• Check your magic coupon center every visit and scan your card.  Coupons will print similar to Catalina's except you don't need to purchase anything to get the coupon.  (This machine looks similar to a price checker machine) it’s even a good idea to scan your card more than once.
• Extra Care Bucks ring through the register as a store coupon and are like cash
• Check your CVS for their clearance sections.  Some have a dedicated section or end cap, others have clearance in each section throughout the store.  You can identify this by a yellow and white tag on the shelf.

If you are buying 2 of the same item and there is a coupon for it, simply show it to the cashier and she will scan it once. If you bought 2 items, it will apply the coupon 2 times. These are store coupons and can be used in conjunction with manufacturer coupons to maximize savings.
• There are also free magazines/or coupon packets found frequently near the pharmacy or beauty counter. They have articles as well as a mix of both Walgreen store coupons and manufacturer coupons.  The store coupons, obviously, must be redeemed at Walgreens.  The manufacturer coupons may be redeemed at any store.
• Store loyalty prints incentives called Register Rewards (RR) - you do not need a card for these and they usually expire 2 weeks from the date they printed and are used similar to catalinas.

• The cash register at Walgreens will not allow the cashier to accept more manufacturer coupons than total products purchased.  All you need to do to fix this problem is purchase what we call a “filler” item to be sure the amount of coupons equals the amount of products.

FunBites Cube it! Review and Giveaway

     Both of my boys are chubbies (and I love every bit of it!)  They have both been in the 90 percentile and above for sizes.  Their eating styles have reflected this from very young, both starting on baby food before six months and regular foods by six or seven months old (of course because it was recommended by my pediatrician).  However, today Dane has become a very picky eater (Declan still eats everything you put in front of him).  There is very little of a variety that he eats, his portion sizes are minimal, and he refuses to try most anything new.  When I first heard of FunBites, I thought this was a great idea and had to give them a try!

• Accepts manufacturer and store coupons
• Sign up on Target's website for ‘Target text alerts’ on smart phones.  You will receive a weekly text with a handful of coupons.  You just have to show the cashier your phone so they can scan the bar code on the text and the coupon is taken off as a store coupon.  These can only be used once.
• Will price match competitors sales prices
• Coupon amounts may be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied.
• Catalina's print at the register when you buy specified promotional items.  These can vary week to week or month to month.  Sometimes these print the store logo on them but can be a store OR manufacturer coupon.  Meaning if they are a mfr coupon they can be used anywhere that accepts mfr coupons (even with the original stores logo).
• Be sure to look around your store for their yellow Price cut signs as well as the red clearance signs and sections.
• Target will also give you $.05 back for each reusable bag you bring in and use on your purchases.
