EatSmart Precision Pro Multifunction Kitchen Scale Review and Giveaway

  logo
I've said to my husband several times in the past that I swore I would NEVER be one of those women that measured out every little thing I ate.  I never believed I would be dieting to this extreme.  That was of course before I realized women get old and their bodies completely change with age especially after having babies!  I have just become so lazy with honestly everything.  I feel so overwhelmed with responsibilities that exercise almost seems impossible!

One of my biggest obsticles in my weightloss has been portion sizes.  I can go hours or most of the day without eating, but once I start I don't seem to know when to stop.  I am an overeater for sure.  That and when I do eat I have a skewed idea of what the portion sizes are.  This is something I have been working very hard on with my Trainer Erica.  After much thought and discussion as to what would possibly help me, we decided I should give a food scale a try.  EatSmart was the perfect place to find myself a high quality scale.

"EatSmart is not only dedicated to bettering the lives of our customers, we are also committed to making a difference in the world.  As we continue to grow, EatSmart will be contributing to local community events which support healthy, active lifestyles."

I love this scale since not only does it easily wipe clean but It is very compact.  I can store this with my cook books, in a drawer, or on the countertop for quick access (without taking up any additional room).  Being able to quickly and accurately measure out my food has helped me keep an accurate food log as well as giving me a better visual of what a portion should look like. The Precision Pro Multifunction Kitchen Scale can measure up to 11 pounds and comes in 5 different color options for all kitchen styles.

**As a restaurant manager portioning used to be a very important part of my day.  Not everyone knows what an ounce or a pound look like visually and even so we all need refreshers once in a while.  While training employees and taking food inventories we frequently used quick weigh-ins throughout a shift to ensure proper portioning.  likewise, I need to continue this process even though I'm no longer in the food industry.**

Cost:  $25 Sale Price

Recommendation: This is a great purchase at this price for something so nice and definitely a company worth checking out other products from as they are high quality (compared to what I've seen elsewhere).  This would make a great gift for the kitchen chef or the conscientious friend trying to lose some weight.

Eat tons and tons of vegetables has been the most helpful to me in terms of weight loss--they help fill me up so I'm not as tempted by sweets!

  12. Since I've been home with my kids (like Tranch) I am sitting most of the day & I was snacking all the time. I packed on a ton. I got motivated in January to diet & lost 34 pounds... Then I lost motivation & have already put back 4. I need the scale to go the other way!!

  13. Having kids and working full time impedes my ability to lose weight. But I find that it becomes easier with each year older they get. I have a 5 year old and a 16 month old now, so I started the chaos over again when the baby was born. It'll sort out soon and I'm taking steps (no pun intended) to make exercise easier for me to accomplish [we bought a home gym and treadmill].

  14. I think I deleted my comment (or something). My biggest deterent from losing weight is having two young kids and working full time. The older the kids get, the easier it will be because they need less constant supervision and care. We're also taking steps to make it exercising easier because we bought a treadmill and home gym.

  18. Planning really is the biggest help. If I plan out a menu for the week and plan what I'm going to eat before I go out to a restaurant I do a lot better than if I just wing it.
