Vamplets Hector the Vampyre Bat Baby Review

If you haven’t been hiding out the last couple years, you know that the popularity of vampires and werewolves has increased dramatically with movies like twilight and shows like true blood.  This is all ages but especially with the teenage girl population.  My daughter is one of them (and if I am being true to all of my readers, I am one of them too)!  I swear since starting my blog and completing reviews I have not been able to find much for Alana.  She is 14 and way too old (and cool) for any of the normal products a mother can find to review.  Vamplets are actually the first thing I found that she had an interest in.

Vamplets are diapered demon vampire babies.  These absolutely cute and creepy babies are looking to be adopted into “their final resting place”.  You can even enter your new baby on the website to print its undead certificate.  There is a forum to discuss your vamplets with other “unfortunate” vamplet parents There are bios on each Vamplet to be sure you receive proper warnings and care as well as a funeral home to create a final resting place for each of them.

If you've been reading for a while you know I got one of these babies for her around the same time last year.  Since then, the Vamplet world has really evolved into a more dark and gruesome world.  They have welcomed even more creepy and gothic babies into their world.  These include a werewolf, cyclops, zombie, and abominabal snow babies.  They also added their Vampet babies which we recently adopted  Hector the Vampyre Bat Baby.

A great thing about adopting Hector is when you dare to adopt him, Vamplets "donate 10% of your purchase to Bat World Sanctuary. They rescue thousands of orphaned, injured and abused bats each year, and need your support NOW to continue helping these loveable and misunderstood mammals."  Also included in the Vampets are the Rabbid Rabbit, Zombie Guinea Pig and Were Roach.
Our Vamplet baby from last year has eternal stood by Alana in great condition, scaring away the evil beings (or boyfriends) since arriving in our household.  I think Hector is going to make a great addition to our gothic family!  Although, he was a little scraggly for Alana's collection, so we have passed him on to Dane.  He seems to be obsessed lately with zombies so Hector is sure to take him into a fun play world without actually scaring him or causing nightmares.

Cost:  $18.95 Vamplet Doll
         $5.95 Bottle of Disappearing Blood
Available to purchase:  Hector Vampyre Bat Baby
Recommendation:  I have had a blast with these little one’s however I do feel like they are quite pricey at almost $20 a doll.  I love seeing that a portion of this guys sales go to help the bat sanctuary.  Vamplets are definitely a fun toy for us Halloween lovers to have all year round.  Alana has fallen in love with Howliss the Werewolf Baby so I'm sure we will be adopting yet another grim baby soon!
