OZzzz's EZ Melts Children's Sleep Aid Review and Giveaway

To properly start off this story and review I must tell you somehow my husband and I were "blessed" with two children who just happen to both be in the 2 percentile of sleepers.  For the first 18 months of Danes life he slept a total of 6-7 hours including naps and night time.  Wow, let me tell you how fun that was as a first time mom!  I tried every recommendation I could find online and of my pediatrician's suggestions.  Nothing worked except time!  Declan is about the same and now we STILL have two boys sleeping in our bed.

Even though Dane has begun his transition into his ouwn bed, he still seems to crawl into ours most nights.  Now four and a half, we have been trying again to find a solution for the little AND restless sleep.  He frequently walks/talks in his sleep, tosses and turns all night, and of course will not sleep alone in his own bed.  Not only do I want sleep myself and for everyone in my family, but I want my child to be healthy.  Its not exactly easy for him to function properly or be a healthy child when he isn't getting the proper rest time.

In doing an Internet search, I came across OZzzz's last year and was thrilled to have the opportunity to try them.  The OZzzz's that I tried last year with Dane were a chewable (tropical) tablet, but they are now made as EZ MELTS™ tablets.  This new form of OZzzz's dissolve quickly in the mouth and this new technology provides a rapid delivery of the active ingredients.  "EZ MELTS™ are the only full line of Rapid Oral Disintegrating Tablets available in the nutraceutical marketplace."

Melatonin helps regulate sleep and our hormones.  Most people know about the soothing affect of Chamomile but it also helps as an anti-inflamatory and digestive aid.  OZzzz's are not recommended for children under two so thankfully Declan just surpassed this requirement.

OZzzz's recommends not exceeding three tablets in one day and to begin with only one tablet one hour prior to bed.  To be completely honest, the one tablet did nothing for Dane and I am thinking the same for Declan.  So the next evening I dissolved two (crushed in their juice).  Both fell asleep quite quickly and were pretty well out which puts this over the counter drug ahead of the rest in our household!  We have been giving them two per night most evenings and I have noticed a difference in both of their levels of sleep.

When I had these last year I have to say they did not last long.  We fell in love with using them on the nights we just knew Dane wouldn't sleep.  I was thrilled to get the opportunity to try them out again with Declan and now that I have I will be buying them in a bulk supply!

Cost:  $10.99 - 30 pack + $5.99 S/H
Available to purchase: OZzzz's
Recommendation:  There is a lot of great info for us un-informed or desperate parents with children with possible sleep disorders, especially since its harder to diagnose a child with a sleep disorder than in adults.  Definitely a great product for us sleepy parents! :)
