Rothschild Kids Shredding Slopes Active Jacket Review

Rothschild Kids

I am born and raised a Michigander but since I can remember, I always said I was going to live somewhere warm and on the beach.  I did live for two years in Georgia (where I met my husband - awe!) but ended up moving right back up here to be with my family while my mother was sick.  I just absolutely hate the snow and cold weather.  I will wear flip flops year round if I can and even in under 2 inches of snow.  Now that I have children I hate the cold weather even more because of all the bundling and layer you have to do to keep them safe and protected.

Those of us with children know that when you have kids they grow out of things faster than you can blink an eye especially before age 5.  Coats are one of the worst things I have to worry about them growing out of here in Michigan.  You can't just skate by with a tight or short length sleeve.  Plus you just can't skimp on quality or your gonna have a sick baby on your hands.  I was super pumped to discover Rothschild Kids this year as yet again we go through replacing our winter jacket stash.

"Over 125 years ago, Samuel Rothschild, a Frankfurt born itinerant peddler, sold coats from his horse-drawn cart in Pennsylvania. Today, S. Rothschild is the foremost label for quality coats and outerwear for children in the United States."  We were able to review the  Shredding Slopes Active Jacket  which has a detachable hood.  The jacket is insulated for the extreme weather with a fleece-lined shell and double layer vest.

Because our new coat is designed for skiing it is wind and water resistant as well.  So when we go out to build our normal snow forts and don't have to worry about bringing in a soaking wet kid.  Plus it is Machine washable which is a must.  Rothschild Kids makes coats for every child and every need from the active jacket to the stylish dress coats.  Dane was so excited to wear his new coat he walked around in it for half a day probably sweating to death considering the temperature was 70 outside!

Recommendation:   I think these are great and for a decent price too! Sure I think the pricing is high for a general coat but the quality of this jacket will not only last Dane through probably the next two seasons because of the size but will make it through a few seasons for Declan as well.  Whether you have a boy or girl, infant or preteen you will want to check their selection out.
