Lucky Leaf Pie Fillings Review and Giveaway *Ignite Your Senses Sponsor Highlight*

SPONSOR HIGHLIGHT "Ignite Your Senses" BLOG HOP EVENT
By now you should all know about my love affair with Lucky Leaf Pie Fillings!  I have had so many wonderful opportunities working with this amazing company over the past year.  I can truly tell you this is a family owned and operated company that takes every bit of care of their products from seedlings/orchards to the factory to the grocery store and your home.  In celebration of Valentine's Day this year, I of course have a new recipe for you!!

As I am always saying, I love baking for my family and with my children!  The newest package of recipes, fillings, and little cooking goodies sent over by Lucky Leaf made it extremely hard to decide which recipe to create first.  Nothing I made in the past has compared to these amazing creations with the Lucky Leaf pie fillings!  They are truly one of a kind!

So after much discussion (as well as several votes), we decided to go with the Strawberries and Cream Chocolate Muffins.  Of course being the crazy baker I am I did not follow the directions to a tee but here is what I did.

Ingredients Needed:
1 Package Vanilla or Butter Cake Mix
3 Eggs beaten 1 cup Sugar
1 1/3 cup Sour Cream 2 tbsp All purpose flour
1 Eggs beaten (separate) 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 can Lucky Leaf Strawberry Pie Filling

Mix cake mix, Lucky Leaf Pie Filling, and 3 eggs together until well combined (low speed in a mixer).  Remove 1 cup of batter and set aside.  Spoon the bulk of the batter into your cupcake/muffin pan (or do as I did and make a cake out of it too).

In a separate bowl mix 1 egg, flour, sugar, sour cream, and vanilla.  Now spoon over the first layer of batter and then spoon the batter you set aside as the final layer.  Bake for 25 minutes @350 or until a fork comes out clean.

Wow!  I just love how well the Lucky Leaf fillings compliment just about any recipe.  I want to especially thank Lucky Leaf for destroying any will power I had built up in all this dieting.  I was unable to resist not only trying one of these but from gobbling up several.  Everyone and I mean everyone who tried these loved them and I think they last maybe 2 hours between four of us!

Good things come to those who bake

"Since 1949 Lucky Leaf has stayed true to its mission of providing simple, delicious dessert products for families across the United States" still saying today (60 years later) “Make it easy. Make it delicious. Make it with Lucky Leaf”.  Also available online are recipes and tips!

  1. I bet those muffins turned out fantastic! I love using lucky pie filling to make yummy treats. Over the summer I mixed it the cherry pie filling with cool whip and froze it - they didn't last long at my house after taking them out of the freezer!
