The Bouquet DVD Review

VE Logo
On February 5, 2013, Gaiam released The Bouquet on DVD! Kevin and I were initially pretty interested in checking out this movie release since Krysty Swanson was in.  For those of you youngin's she was the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  Of course we knew this wouldn't be anything similar but still its always nice to see an actress that you used to be a fan of that may have dropped off the grid.
The synopsis says "Two estranged sisters torn apart by their differences suddenly find themselves working together towards a common goal in the heartwarming drama, The Bouquet. For years, overachiever Terri (Kristy Swanson) and her idealistic sister, Mandy (Alberta Mayne), have kept their distance from each other, as well as from their parents’ struggling florist business. But when a tragic turn of events brings both women home, they discover just how much they need one another in order to continue their family legacy. Filled with romance, humor and hope, it’s an endearing story about making time for the ones you love."

I especially was able to relate since I am the oldest of three girls.  I completely understand the competition between siblings for their parents attention and approval as well as individual success.  Now this was your typical girlie family movie where the end is very predictable.  We knew the ending within ten minutes of the movies beginning but thought it was very cute!  Alana was extremely bored as it obviously wasn't much of a teenage flick.
Suggested Retail Pricing: $14.93
Recommendation:  Now I thought this was a cute movie!  Yes a little slow moving maybe for someone Alana's age but I thought it was very realistic and because I related so closely with it I enjoyed watching it!
