Bioscriptives Repiderm and Alo-Verix Review and Giveaway

Because I feel so strongly against the way we push all these expensive beauty products on people, I tend to have a hard time reviewing them in a lot of cases.  I feel like people looked so much healthier way back when before we knew about all these (disgusting) must have chemicals.  I just wish women still used the same natural remedies that they used to and showed their natural beauty!

Because I feel this way (and the fact that I've worked with this contact before), I wanted to give Bioscriptive products a try.  I was sent over two of their products - Repiderm and Alo-Verix.  "Bio-Scriptures was formed by BioChemics Inc., a cutting edge pharmaceutical research firm , staffed by some of the world’s leading scientists, to develop an unparalleled line of skin care products."
#
"These products utilize BioChemics’ patented revolutionary intra-dermal delivery technology. This technology called Derma-Release ushers in a new era in skin care and treatment. Derma –Release uses bio physical modulation to target specific intra-dermal skin layers allowing therapeutic skin agents to achieve revolutionary results."

I was a bit hesitant to give these a try for a few reasons.  The first one being all the chemistry talk.  I am not dumb by any means and studied for several years to be an engineer so I am educated.  However when I see explanations like this it makes me think they are trying to overwhelm the average consumer with big words to cover up something else.  The second is because I let Amy (one of my writers) try the Alo-Verix first and her face turned bright red almost immediately.
#
Now somehow it is an odd coincidence that my two friends and writers as well as myself all have sensitive skin.  So you can imagine my hesitation in wanting to irritate my skin as well.  Alo-Verix is an anti-aging cream and deep moisturizer in one.

It's free of parabens, wax, petrolatum, paraffin or mineral oil.  Its formula contains amino acids, fatty acids, aloe vera, shea butter and resveratol. I wasn't terribly impressed with this one but didn't dislike it either.  I just felt as if it was like any other "anti-aging lotion" on the market.

Repiderm is an acne treatment that's formulated with 16 herbal extracts and essential oils, as well as 4.4% benzoyl peroxide in one standalone product.  It can be used to spot treat pimples, whiteheads and blackheads and can be used daily to help prevent acne breakouts. I loved this one since I don't have severe acne problems and usually hate using the multi-step programs because they are a waste of time for someone like me.

Cost/Available to Purchase: $40 Alo-Verix
     $27 Repiderm
Recommendation:  Again a little pricey for me but remember I'm not quite the girlie girl when it comes to spending money on beauty products.  You won't catch me buying the Alo-Verix but I'd recommend the Repiderm especially if you struggle with acne.

  8. one thing I like about your blog, the dark background you currently have with the four leaf clovers... makes it easier to see the rest of the stuff written in the middle. Your format is user friendly and it is easy to find what I want to read, using the bar at the top.
