Goal Zero Escape 150 Adventure Kit Review and Giveaway

As a blogger technology and electronics are a huge part of my life!  Being up on the newest and best in each category is key.  But I am also a green living blogger which causes for some serious internal controversy when using all of this technology.  I can't always seem to find that happy medium between wanting the latest technology and conserving energy.  That is unless I am able to find an energy saving or possibly solar product!  You know that I recently made a few switches to solar powered lighting, power outage lighting, and the portable charger which doesn't need to be plugged in.

While doing a search for more products similar to these, I stumbled on Goal Zero and very quickly fell in love!  "GOAL ZERO is an innovator of portable solar power systems that power a variety of USB, AC and DC devices anywhere and at anytime. Providing a perfect blend of portability, power, and ease-of-use, GOAL ZERO products feature full solar energy systems -solar panels, power packs and accessories - each designed to work in concert with each other."

This isn't just your average energy efficiency store, these are real people with real goals and real solutions that the everyday person could actually use.  Each of the solar kits are able to collect power from either the sun (solar panel) or by plugging them into the wall.  It is then stored in the power pack to be used whenever you have something needing power!

Thankfully this amazing company agreed to send me over the Escape 150 Adventure Kit to review.  The Escape 150 Adventure Kit is an "All-In-One Integrated Solar Kit" which allows you to have access to an outlet wherever you may need and whenever!  What great is this device can not only charge your cellphone but something as large as a laptop as well!

Being that I am a blogger and my career allows me the flexibility to work from just about anywhere, this is a great tool for me and my laptop since its attached to my hip at all times.  During the summer I am constantly trying to work outside either by the pool or at the park.  This way my kids are not stuck inside just because I have to work.
It becomes complicated trying to balance these activities while still keeping up on my frequent computer use!  Plus having a cord stretch from the house to poolside also seems to pose more than a complication but a hazard.  Now, not only do I not need to worry about maneuvering cords around the backyard but I can even power my computer with the sun and save on my electricity usage!!

The Escape 150 Adventure Kit can be used for USB, 12V and AC outputs and can be recharged in about 10-20 hours.  Of course the first thing I do when taking this kit outside is make sure its fully charged AND still have the solar panel hooked up so I get even more usage out of it!

Cost/Available to Purchase:  $279.95 Escape 150 Adventure Kit
Recommendation:  Now although initially I wouldn't pay this much just looking at it but when you realize how quickly this could save you money its pretty well worth it.  If you camp frequently or spend a lot of time outside it can prove to be very useful plus remember computers are one of the biggest electricity suckers out there!
