Power Rangers Samurai: The Sixth Ranger Review

For some crazy reason the boys have always loved the TV show "The Powere Rangers".  I'd like to say I understand because I used to watch it as a child but I am kind of embarrassed I even just shared that tidbit with you!  Now watching it with them I think that the writers definitely were doing some kind of drugs while creating some of the bad guys in this!

"In 2013, Power Rangers will celebrate 20 years of global success as the #1 kids live action series." Lionsgate released the newest Power Ranger series on May 14th, 2013.  Power Rangers Samurai: The Sixth Ranger is now available on on DVD and Digital Download.

The synopsis says "When a mysterious fisherman arrives, the Power Rangers Samurai meet their newest ally – Antonio, the Gold Ranger!  But before he can join the team, Antonio must prove he possesses the true spirit of the samurai.  Jayden, Kevin, Emily, Mia and Mike are challenged by the Nighlok monsters more so than ever when Master Xandred sends Steeleto to attack the Power Rangers, Antberry and Octoroo attempt to open a portal and Splitface traps human spirits. Their new golden friend Antonio shows the Power Rangers he too can be a samurai with his lightning-fast Barracuda Blade, the ink-spraying OctoZord and the ClawZord's megamodes! The Power Rangers will never be the same after these four epic episodes! "

Not only did I know that Dane was going to have to watch this the minute he noticed it arrived but once it did Declan did too of course.  Dane has his little brother copying everything off of him and this is one of those movies that the two of them love to play alongside the rangers fighting all the bad guys!
They actually thought this one was the same storyline as the last one about the red ranger but were pumped that they had already learned about Antonio on TV so they knew all about him becoming the gold ranger!

Price: $14.93
Recommendation:  Dane and Declan both really enjoyed it and have both been acting out different Power Ranger scenarios around the house.  Thank you Lionsgate for forcing me to have to watch this two decades later again!
