You know being a writer has its ups and downs. I love being able to have the freedom to make my own schedule and be home with my children as they grow up each day. I love not having a boss or someone to tell me what time to work or what to do all the time. But there are still a lot of negatives to what we do. I still have deadlines and need to be a self motivator in order to make those deadlines. I am responsible for knowing and learning all laws and policies wherever I decide to show off my work and believe me that means in a ton of areas.
There is no one here to hold me accountable but myself. After you've been writing for some time the real challenge becomes creativity itself. I am responsible for coming up with new and fresh content on a regular basis. Plus when you do what I do with product reviews you need to be different with each company that is similar to the last one completed but still review things honestly. There are TONS of days where I end up with writers block and it feels as though my brain is mush.
Chicken Soup for the Soul: Inspiration for Writers has "101 Motivational Stories for Writers - from Books to Blogs" I loved reading this one!! I tend to not have a lot of time to read either which I think may be an oxymoron, lol. This was one of those books though that kind of pumped you up for the next big writing project and gave me the confidence that I could improve my writing quality and style if I wanted to! I liked be able to hear about other writers who have had similar struggles as I have!
Cost/Available to Purchase: $11.30 Barnes & Noble or Amazon
Recommendation: Definitely an entertaining read especially if you only have a few moments a day to read a few pages. I think the cost is in line with any other books of this type and this was worth the read for sure!
