The Mason Shaker Review and #Giveaway

This next product I had to get my hands on for several reasons.  First off you guys know what an environmentally conscious family the Poole household is.  Second, you all know we are quite the entertainers as we throw parties all year long for various holidays.  And thirdly, even though I am from the North, My husband and daughter are from the South, so I have a special love in my heart for the southern way of life!

I recently discovered an all around awesome tool that I knew I would need for my kitchen/bar at home - The Mason Shaker!  "Inspired by the classic southern icon, the Mason jar, the Mason Shaker is a unique four-piece cocktail shaker that harkens to American eras past."

I love that not only the idea and concept of this wonderful bar tool is to use the classic mason jars (thinking back to the good ole' moonshiner days) but that I can simply rinse the lid/shaker portion and use it for several different kinds of drinks all while reusing my canning jars which I no longer have lids for!

Each is made from glass and high quality stainless steel with a sleek and stylish design sure to make a center piece of any home bar.  I love that they add its made with "a Shot of Southern Sensibility".  We recently had an unexpected couples game night and we decided to make a run for the liquor store only to get a fifth of Rum Chata which just happened to warm.

Never was there a more perfect time to break out our Mason Jar Shaker to chill our tasty shots!  The only problem we found was that it did leak a little when we tried to pour it into the shot glasses.  This could have been really caused by us and our lack of coordination but it seemed to leak from the cap part if not properly pushed all the way on.

Another nice perk of this shaker is that because it is made of glass you can keep it in a cooler or refrigerator to help with chilling your beverages.  Although I would be careful pouring anything of a major temperature difference into a jar which has been chilled because glass can shatter easily if the change is too drastic.

Cost/Available to purchase:  $29 Four Piece Shaker
Recommendation:  Definitely worth the purchase, especially when you look at the quality and endless possibilities.  These can be washed and reused just as easily as anything out there.  I love this style and the idea that I can reuse the lid on most any jar of this type!
