Fuzzwippers Make Great Travelers Book Review and @MOON_Blogs #Giveaway

Being that my children are so little, I want to be able to start traveling with them in hopes of making down to Disney World in 3-4 years.  Recently planning their first long road trip (4 hours), I was worried that they weren't going to do well especially since Mikayla gets antsy in the car after 10 minutes.  I was excited to have the opportunity to review a children's book titled, Fuzzwippers Make Great Travelers, written by Marilynn Halas and illustrated by Jeremy Provost.

This book is about a little girl who is traveling to Hawaii and her Fuzzwipper friend goes along with her.  They experience new things and food while in Hawaii that they are both a little nervous to try, but don't get discouraged when they don't excel at things when they first try.  This book helps children to experience the new sports and foods available while visiting new places.

The pictures are big and depict what the author is saying with words.  The pictures are very colorful and kid friendly.  The story uses words that are easy for children to understand and I like how it explains what bigger or new vocabulary words mean inside the story.

We read this book to all four kids while they were taking a break from swimming one day.  They all sat very attentively while I read it and as soon as the story ended they all wanted it read again.  This is a very cute story that encourages kids to experience the new things they may encounter while traveling to a new place.

Available to Purchase/Cost:  $4.99 Fuzzwippers
Recommendation: I think this is a really cute book to teach kids about traveling.  I would like to learn more about the Fuzzwippers and the adventures that they take.

  4. This sounds like a great book, especially for those children who have anxiety about doing/trying new things.

  5. This is the second time I've heard of this book, and I'm glad I read this one as a reminder. I'd love to read this to the kids. The name alone would make them giggle, I'm sure of it. :)
