Sparx Xylitol Candy by Xlear Review and #Giveaway

Towards the end of last year I discovered an awesome company with a range of products that can help out you and your family in an extremely natural way.   Xlear, founded by Dr. Alonzo H. Jones in June of 2000, manufactures all-natural and health enhancing products.  They are "recognized as one of the leading manufacturers of xylitol products."

What first caught my attention to this amazing brand was how xylitol had an affect on ear infections in children.  Then I quickly realized that it was actually huge in the world of oral care because of its effects.   Being that Halloween is coming up, I figured what better time than to discuss my families issue with candy as we are also huge into celebrating the holiday!

Now for anyone who knows me personally you know I come from a family of Dentists, however you wouldn't know it if you saw the amount of candy my oldest son Dane consumes.  Its actually encouraged mostly by one of the dentists and not by myself or my husband.  We recently had to deal with something I swore I wouldn't have to put my child through as I had to go through as a child myself.

Dane found himself with a terrible cavity down to the nerves requiring him to have a baby root canal!  This was HORRID for both myself and most importantly himself!  We have an obligation as parents to take care of our children's health from the very beginning.  What some parents don't realize or I guess even think about it that they already have their adult teeth behind the baby teeth.
So even though we may think that they are only baby teeth and they'll be gone soon, that isn't quite true.  The health of the baby teeth determines the health of the adult teeth when they come in several years later.

Last year I started to take notice of all the crap people are handing out to our kids when they trick or treat.  I love when I stumble across a family which hands out something even just a little bit healthier.  The thing is the kids don't always appreciate it!  What if you can give them a candy though that tastes like candy but is actually GOOD for them?!

"SparX tiny bite-size fruit-flavored candies are a new sugar-free candy line sweetened exclusively with all-natural xylitol. Xylitol is an all-natural sweetener derived from corn cobs, birch trees and other natural sources, and is similar to sugar in taste and texture, but with unique health benefits not found in other sweeteners.

One of the primary benefits of xylitol and SparX Candy is the effects it has on the bacteria that create cavities. When exposed to as little as 15 grams of xylitol a day, the bacteria in the mouth lose their ability to stick to teeth and form plaque."

Xlear originally began with Xlear® Nasal Sprays back in 2000 but has quickly expanded their line of products to include XyloSweet® (Xylitol sweetener), Spry Dental Defense System® (Xylitol gum, mints and other oral care), and SparX® (Xylitol candy).  Each product contains 100% safe, all natural, organic xylitol.
"Pure xylitol is a white crystalline substance that looks and tastes like sugar.   It is a naturally occurring 5-carbon sugar alcohol found in many fruits and vegetables and produced in small amounts by the human body."  Studies have shown that Xylitol or products containing Xylitol, have 40% fewer calories than normal sweetened products, less affects on tooth decay, and has little effect on blood sugar levels.

Dane and Declan both were immediately hooked on these little candies!  They've been frequently asking for them as their after dinner snack which makes me giggle (secretly of course) since I know this is going to help with our child oral care issues!

*Remember October is also National Dental Hygiene Month and SparX Candy is a great way to “trick your cavities and treat your sweet tooth!”

Cost/Available to Purchase:  $7.49 Bag containing 30 individually sealed packets of SparX
Recommendation:  Not only is this not a bad price especially because its a natural way to prevent oral issues but most bags of candy these days cost an arm and a leg to put who knows what into your body and your children's.
