Chicken Soup for the Soul: Think Positive for Kids Book Review


       There is no harder job in the world than being a parent yet nothing is more rewarding.  There are no manuals or how to's as to being the best parent out there.  And even though there are rules (ahem law's) as to what not to do, there is nothing set in stone telling you how life is going to be after a child enters yours.


        I am definitely not a perfect parent nor is my husband but we try.  One of the things we try to do constantly is laugh at ourselves for the mistakes we make and in turn learn from them.  Since both of my boys have been in the 90th + percentile for size since birth (meaning they are large for their age) and have extreme personalities, I have always been overly worried they could potentially be perceived in some way as a bully OR be on the reciprocal end of the situation.

        Chicken Soup for the Soul: Think Positive for Kids has "101 Stories about Good Decisions, Self-Esteem, and Positive Thinking.  Give a child gifts that will last a lifetime — self-esteem, tolerance, values, and inner strength.         I appreciate the fact that this book teaches my children the importance of not only self respect but respect for others and their differences.  It also gives children real life situations so they know we are not just preaching on the subject.  The stories are instances which the kids can understand without having to expose them to today's tragedies which are causes of these types of

Cost/Available to Purchase:  $12.12 Chicken Soup for the Soul: Think Positive for Kids: 101 Stories about Good Decisions, Self-Esteem, and Positive Thinking
 Recommendation:  Definitely a great read especially if you read a few stories a night to your children.  I think the cost is in line with any other books of this type and this was worth the read for sure!
