Declan has always been a very musically influenced (and I hope talented) child.  From the time he could walk, he could booty bounce better than some adults I know!  He has always been more into any program which involves lots of music and singing as well.

Now that he is getting to the age where we need to start implementing a more advanced learning to prepare him for school next year, I have been searching through a variety of musical toys as well as TV programs.  So when Rock n Learn finally asked me to review one of their DVD's I was more than on board.

This has been one of those companies I knew from the beginning I had to work with them because of how the boys learn and coming from such a musically talented father.  It was bound to happen!  Rock n Learn sent me over the Letter Sounds DVD which we were very excited to watch the moment it arrived!

The synopsis says "Energetic music and fun activities build excitement about learning to read. Letter Sounds covers the most common sound that each letter makes. The completely new Letter Sounds DVD with its "on-screen mouth" shows how to form each sound and features exciting animation. Lovable characters on the DVD help engage kids. Letter Sounds CD comes with a full-color illustrated book. By the end of either program, students are combining letters to read words and even simple sentences."

Both boys not only loved this but Alana (my teenager) actually enjoyed interacting with the boys right along with the movie.  They each took turns picking things out, answering questions, and singing along.

Cost:  $19.99 DVD Only
Coupon Code: 25% off with coupon code JQ7711
Recommendation:  Now this may seem like an expensive price for such a short DVD but I will say I think you are paying more for an educational experience than just a DVD.  The kiddos loved it and I have to say I hope I get lucky enough to review more of them for you!
