MOON Man DVD Review and #Giveaway

Because it seems as if we have been getting the same type of movies over and over in this house, I've been on the look out for something (anything) different for us to watch.  You can only watch the same cartoon so many times in one day before your day starts to blur together!

When Cinedigm shared that they would be releasing a new DVD on February 4th, 2014, I was quick to agree to review it.  The new movie is called MOON Man and is "based on the children’s book by award-winning author and illustrator Tomi Ungerer.  MOON MAN won the Book Week prize and has been translated into 12 languages since it was first published in the 1960s."

The synopsis says "The man on the moon is bored. One day, he hitches a ride to Earth on the tails of a passing comet — an “attack from outer space” that sets the alarm bells ringing in the President's headquarters — and starts to explore the fantastical creatures and sights of a new planet. But all is not well — the Moon Man's absence from his post means that all the world's children are unable to sleep. Before the President can capture him, they must join forces to return him to his rightful place in the sky."

Now although I had never heard of the film, Dane claimed he had read the book in school at some point.  He was definitely interested in watching this book turned movie!  I thought the story line was adorable and made for a good night time tale.  I know the film was based on actual drawings fromt he book which is why the quality was a little off to me but all in all Dane thought it was a cute one!

DVD SRP:$26.95
DVD CAN:$29.95
Recommendation:  I thought the story line was a pretty good one.  I don't know if I'd buy it again at this price though since it wasn't a huge hit in our house.
