The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie-rella DVD Review

Mickey Mouse has been a classic in households for decades and some of which don't even have children in them!  Some people are just huge Disney fans and others are obsessed with decor throughout to represent the icon!  We have always been fans of the parks and of course watching the programs but once we had children, we were forced to be hooked for at least another decade ourselves as the boys love to watch The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Though, never would I have imagined that my boys would readily await the arrival of something like The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie-rella DVD.  This Minnie Mouse special arrives on Disney DVD February 11th, 2014, AND premieres on Disney Channel and Disney Junior on February 14th, 2014.  Every time a preview would come on the TV, Declan would tell me how lucky he is to have it before any one else!

The synopsis says "Our pals need to get Minnie a surprise present, so they keep her busy with plenty of chores to do at the Clubhouse.  Tired from so much work, Minnie falls asleep and dreams that she is MINNIE-RELLA!  Inspired by the fairy tale of Cinderella, the story of Minnie-rella sparkles with music and fun as we recognize our favorite Clubhouse characters in familiar roles.

Poor Minnie-rella needs a lot of help to get ready for Prince Mickey’s Grand Ball!  With a wave of her wand and some “Mouseke-doodle-lee-doo” magic, Minnie-rella’s Fairy Godmother, Clarabelle, transforms an ordinary tomato into a magnificent carriage and Minnie-rella’s raggedy dress into a beautiful gown that is perfect for a princess.  But Minnie-rella’s enchanted dance with Prince Mickey at the ball must end when the spell is broken at midnight.  With our help, Prince Mickey finds the princess who fits into her lost glass slipper – Princess Minnie-rella!"

This wonderful DVD comes packed with everything your kids could imagine up for a fairy tale world!  There is a Castle Play Set included which the boys had a blast putting together on their own (since we are big into lego building right now).  Not only does this feature the story of Minnie-rella but also has 3 additional Mickey Mouse Clubhouse episodes and 10 Minnie's Bow-Toon Shorts.

The boys both like this one quite a bit especially Declan though.  It seems to be our new go to movie during the day when Mom is trying to get some work done and needs to keep Declan busy!  The only thing we were not a huge fan is the Minnie Bow Toon shorts and that was because they were exactly that - too short!

Recommendation:  I don't care if you have girls or boys - Mickey has something for everyone!  We enjoyed this DVD as we enjoy watching the clubhouse daily.
