Abner the Invisible Dog DVD Review and #Giveaway

When I first asked Dane if he'd like to help review the new movie from Inception Media called Abner the Invisible Dog, he said sure why not, but truly didn't seem too interested.  My expectations weren't set too high because of half of the movie reviews I've done for Inception Media.  Most of the acting has been sub par and story lines kind of cheesy.  On March 11th, 2014, Inception Media Group has released the new Abner the Invisible Dog on DVD.

The synopsis says "It’s Chad Sheppard’s birthday and he's in for a big surprise! His best friend, Abner, a big furry Sheepdog can suddenly vanish into thin air. Not only is Abner invisible, but he can talk too...and he’s a bit of a wise guy! But Chad already has enough problems fighting off two bullies who want to wreck his chances with Sophie, the cute girl next door. Now he has to hide an invisible, talking dog from his parents, and figure out how to get everything back to normal. That’s not easy when Abner’s invisibility wears off at the worst possible moments.

A stolen top secret formula has accidentally fallen into his hands, and it’s given Abner all the powers of a super spy. The government officials want their formula back, but so do the bad guys who stole it. Bumbling burglars Murdoch (David DeLuise of Disney Channel’s “Wizards of Waverly Place”) and Kane try to break into the house to kidnap the canine super hero. Nothing will stop the determined pair of clumsy crooks, not even their own stupidity. With the parents out of the house, Chad and Abner have to fight off the bad guys, get the girl, and save the day!"

As luck would have it we decided to watch this on Danes actual birthday and in the movie, the whole scenario happens on the boy's birthday as well. Dane thought this was pretty cool that they were both celebrating their birthday's together (lol). He enjoyed the story line and thought it was quite cute. I on the other hand thought it was a typical bad guy/kids movie...almost similar to something like the Home alone movies. The dog helps the kid left home alone keep the bad guys out.

Suggested Retail Price:  $12.98
Recommendation:  Although this wasn't a bad movie I still don't know if I would purchase it again.  The boys did enjoy it though and again I thought it was cute just typical.
