Delivery Man DVD Review

We actually knew we wanted to see this next movie from the first time we watched the preview.  We have always been big fans of Vince Vaughn so when I was asked if we would review Delivery Man, not only did we agree but we made plans to make a movie night of it right away.  On March 25th, 2014, Delivery Man was released on Blu-ray, DVD, Digital and On-Demand.

The synopsis says, "In this heartwarming comedy, underachiever David Wozniak (Vince Vaughn) learns he’s actually an overachiever — he’s fathered 533 children via donations made twenty years earlier! David soon discovers that the shock of his life might just be the best thing that’s ever happened to him. Along the way he discovers not only his true self, but also the father he could become. Also starring Chris Pratt and Cobie Smulders — and complete with bonus materials, including behind-the-scenes footage — it’s a feel-good movie that really delivers."
We definitely liked this movie although I have to say it wasn't quite what we originally expected.  Kevin and I both found quite a bit of humor in the beginning of the movie where the life of a parent is portrayed as both chaotic and a bit pitiful.  We have both always been quite the outgoing couple who loves to party, and having children has of course drastically changed how and when we can even consider doing things like that.

Though most of the this wasn't quite realistic in its magnitude, it was a situation someone might find themselves in with the way society is nowadays.  Being a step mother myself, I know what it's like to consider other resources when you are trying to have children!  I wouldn't say we necessarily teared up but there were some very touching moments which made you think and awe at the moment.

Recommendation:  I can't imagine finding out I had 5 children let alone 533, so I think this was adorable portrayal of how someone might react to such an extreme situation!  We all enjoyed the movie from start to finish and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good comedy!
