Prepara Kitchen Gadgets Review and #Giveaway

Logo - Kitchen Tools by Prepara
I love me some kitchen tools! If its available you know I want it. I love to have every and any available option when preparing my family meals. Being that I cook five plus days a week AND I use mostly fresh ingredients (from my garden if possible), I personally require different utensils to bring out those specific flavors.

Because I come from quite a long food/restaurant background, I consider myself to be a self starter in the kitchen.  I love to cook, grill, bake anything and especially from scratch with the freshest and healthiest ingredients I can find.  I first noticed Prepara a while back when I discovered their Original Herb Savor and quickly fell in love with all the other products they have to offer.

I was recently sent a variety of prep tools for review from Prepara to use for all of my kitchen adventures.  These items included the Original Herb Savor, Oil Mister, Chef's Center Cookbook Holder, Chef's Citrus Juicer, and Garlic press.  Even though I was most excited about the Original Herb Savor, the first product I opened and used right away was the Garlic Press.

I know this is going to sound weird but I have always wanted a garlic press.  We are very big on garlic in our family and for some reason I've never actually bought one even thought I've wanted it for a long time.  This one even has a power ratchet for one handed pressing even multiple garlic pieces at one time!

The Original Herb Savor and Oil Mister will more than likely be used much more frequently in the summer once I have all my fresh herbs for salads and other meals!  "The herb-savor is laboratory tested and proven to prolong the life of your fresh herbs for up to 3 weeks".  I hadn't even though of it before but once I get a chance to head to the grocery store I'll be buying some asparagus as it suggests this helps keep this tasty vegetable fresher longer too!

The oil mister is so much more than my original thoughts of being able to use this for my fresh salads.  You can even buy your oil in bulk and use this just like you would a PAM can of oil!  This is great and can save a ton of money in the long run!  You can even customize the oil and its flavor by adding your favorite herbs without clogging the sprayer.

Although I don't juice by hand a lot, I do love me some fresh lemon juice in my water because of all the health benefits. Not only is it usually a pain to juice by hand but when adding lemon to your water, you usually have half a lemon to store until you need more.  Plus I hate having to toss the lemon wedge (peel and all) in my drink as well.  This juicer makes it easy to juice without having to worry about pulp, seeds, or peels, and then easily stores additional juice in the fridge!

I love being able to finally position my cookbook upright so I can actually keep on the correct page AND have hands free access to the recipes without my book getting all funky and dirty!  The clear splash guard helps with both of these issues.  Plus this one even swivels like a lazy susan so you can turn it as you move around the kitchen!

Available to purchase.Cost:  Vary between $14.99 - $19.99 Original Herb Savor, Oil Mister, Chef's Center Cookbook Holder, Chef's Citrus Juicer, and Garlic Press
Recommendation:  I love all these tools and in discovering this set of them I know my next purchase from them is going to have to be the herb shears, topper chopper, or even an additional herb-savor!  Definitely head over to Prepara's website to check out more really awesome tools.

  2. Carolina pulled chicken is my favorite. It is so easy to just toss in the slow cooker with vinegar and spices. Shred the chicken then serve on a bun with cole slaw. I always have to make a triple batch because we always want it the next day also.

  7. I have an oil mister that no longer mists (it just spits a stream). Do you know how I could turn it back into misting? I have cleaned it several times. Is there a cleaning secret?

  8. That oil mister would be so handy, it would help cut down on fats and aerosols. I could coat a cake pan, lasagna pan, spray a roast before browning, etc.

  11. Two utensils I've never purchased but always wanted were the mister so I could use more olive oil in my diet and the juicer. I bought a cheat juicer but it was hard to use so very excited to try for these.

  12. I have never used a juicer to juice my lemons and I appreciate your review about Prepara's juicer. I would love to use one of their juicers as well as their cookbook protector. You are right. When your cookbook is lying on the countertop, the pages get splashed on and it definitely is a bother.

  19. As I was reading your review, I thought to myself, gee, I have always wanted a garlic press, too. We eat a lot of garlic and I usually buy it in jars but my daughter lives with me again and she always wants fresh garlic. Now I suppose would be the time to buy one or hopefully win one. I really would like to have that cookbook holder also.

  22. A garlic press? Every kitchen needs one! The oil mister? Pays for itself in the money you save not buying no-stick spray! The Herb Saver would pay for itself with first couple batches of chives I'd have to throw out!!
