Snowflake The White Gorilla DVD Review and #Giveaway

Now when I was first asked to review the new Lionsgate release Snowflake The White Gorilla, I thought it was going to be one heck of a movie for the kids.  not only do they love watching movies with animals (specifically anything jungle related) but I love sharing movies with them where someone is unique and different.

Arriving on DVD and Video on Demand on March 4th, 2013, Snowflake The White Gorilla is packed with TONS of all star voices like David Spade, Jennette McCurdy, Christopher Lloyd, Ariana Grande, and a bunch more!  Bonus features include “Giving the Characters a Voice” – At the recording studio with the actors and actress's and a sneak Peek of Minuscule Award-Winning Shorts.

The synopsis says " Snowflake is the only white gorilla in the world, and the zoo’s main attraction.  Children love her, but she just wants to fit in.  With the help of an eccentric red panda, Snowflake sneaks out of the zoo and heads into the dangerous city to find a circus witch with a magical potion that promises to make her a “normal” gorilla.  Will Snowflake find the cure she’s looking for or realize that there is something more important than fitting in?"

I have to say though I thought the story line was a great one, this DVD was absolutely obnoxious to watch.  None of the voices matched up with the lips.  It was almost as if this was made in another language and the voices were the translation into English.   Declan loved watching this one and has watched it several times (I'm guessing because he doesn't notice the difference).

After watching this once, Alana and I just couldn't do it anymore.  We even tried on a few different TV's and players to make sure it wasn't our mistake.  Nothing drives me more nuts than having to watch a movie like this!

Cost:  $19.98
Recommendation:  As if you couldn't tell, I thought the quality was terrible and not worth a few dollars of a purchase.  If they fixed this issue it would be a great movie with a great cast!
