SportMax Energy Review and #Giveaway

SportMax Energy Shot - an endurance supplement with no sugar or sucralose
I'm not quite sure I've taken the time to explain to all my readers how active my family is during the summer months.  Like most families (or at least I would like to think so), we try to spend as much time outdoors as possible.  My husband and I both play in a large competitive adult softball league from spring to fall each year.  My teenage daughter also plays with us as well as other activities and our younger boys are starting their sports adventures this summer finally.

Being so active and with so many activities sometimes comes with a price.  Some days you can feel a drag or maybe not as much energy and motivation to really get into your games, activities, or workouts.  There are a ton of energy drinks available which have become insanely popular and for all ages.  High School students drink them as performance boosters in sports, college students drink them during study-all-nighters, and adults drink them to keep going throughout long work days.

Regardless of the reason its become impossible to decide on one as they all promise you the world.  Most are a general products as well and aren't geared for a specific use.  I was recently asked to review SportMax Energy which I had honestly never heard of.  I was more than happy as Kevin and I are always looking for solutions come spring getting into the swing of things!

"SPORTMAX is compliant with NCAA, NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and IOC (Olympic) guidelines of banned substances. NSF 'Certified for Sport' rating requires less than 150mg of caffeine. SPORTMAX contains 140mg."  This and one other fact caught my eye right away about the brand.  They "are the only energy shot using Natural B12 Methylcobalamin and the same amount as a booster shot."

If you have ever thought about losing weight, you know about B12; If you have ever been involved in sports or weight lifting, you've probably heard of B12; Or if you've been terribly sick or learned much about nutrition, you've heard of B12.  "Vitamin B12 is a nutrient that helps keep the body’s nerve and blood cells healthy and helps make DNA, the genetic material in all cells. Vitamin B12 also helps prevent a type of anemia called megaloblastic anemia that makes people tired and weak. - NIH" http://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/VitaminB12-QuickFacts/

Obviously this is an important ingredient to me when discussing the quality of SportMax.  I truly believe that B12 vitamins help even those who aren't into athletics and can prevent numerous issues from arising within your body!  Because SportMax is geared towards athletes it not only helps increase your energy but can help utilize body fat for energy as well as help aid in the after effects of athletics such as with joint and muscle pain!

Kevin was the first to try one of course since he's a little bigger into the energy shots than myself.  Being that softball hasn't started he decided to take one before work (after a late night with the kids).  He said he felt beyond energetic and almost too much since he was only at work.  He said it would have been much better to take before a game as he felt he could have easily run up and down his buildings 50 flights of stairs.

He did say even though he felt a bit jittery since he wasn't exactly taking this as directed however he said it wasn't a shaky jitter making it hard to function.  He said that since the directions suggest you "hold liquid in mouth for about 20 to 30 seconds before swallowing" that he felt it had a bit of vitamin flavor but that they honestly tasted just fine!  He is now of course asking me to stock up for the summer sports season!

Available to purchase/Cost:  $31.08 - 12/2 oz Bottles
Recommendation:  Not only are we super pumped to have these around for softball, everyone at work was asking Kevin where to get these since they could see the burst of energy he had. I think this price is around the same you would find for any others and it obviously worked!
