Sofia the First Floating Palace DVD Review

I knew right away Declan would love the newest Princess Sofia movie so when I was asked to review Sofia the First Floating Palace, I quickly said yes.  Declan is in love with Sofia.  If he could watch it all day, everyday, he would.  Which is why I was extremely excited to get the opportunity to review this DVD.  Disney released this movie on DVD on April 8th, 2014 including three bonus episodes as well as a set of exclusive friendship bracelets.

The Synopsis says "Do YOU believe in mermaids? You will – when you set sail on a magical full-length adventure under the sea with Sofia the First! After Sofia helps a young mermaid named Oona, Sofia’s amulet grants her the power to transform into a mermaid and visit her new friend’s secret underwater kingdom. But when Cedric (disguised as a sea monster) plots to steal Oona’s enchanted Mermaid Comb, danger surfaces for both worlds. With a little help from special guest, Princess Ariel, Sofia embarks on an adventure to rescue Oona. Overflowing with oceans of song-filled fun – plus three more exciting episodes – Sofia the First: The Floating Palace proves that when families and friends work together, they can weather any storm and save the day!"

The day we received it, Declan was so excited!  I personally think that Sofia is such a cute show.  It is not only for just girls as most would think, it's for boys too because it teaches some really great lessons.   The Floating Palace, is one of my absolute favorite episodes.  The mermaids did not like Sofia at first because they knew she was a human.  However, after Sofia saves the queen's daughter, who is also Sofia's friend Oona, things change drastically in the end.  Both my boys loved this DVD!

Recommendation:  I think this was adorable and had such a good story line!!  Both boys loved it and I can definitely tell you they have watched this more than anything else we've received in a long time!  I even enjoy watching it too!
