I have never been to a costume ball, but I have been to a costume party. It wasn't very formal, but most of the girls had on dresses of every kind. It was fun to be someone else for a night and to see what great costumes everyone else chose to wear!

I have never been to a costume ball but I am a seamstress. I made many costumes for my daughter for our local Renaissance Festival. We have many pictures of her masquerading in 16th century attire.
