Home Is Where The Heart Is DVD Review and #Giveaway

I was recently asked to review a new movie from Arc Entertainment called Home Is Where The Heart Is and I honestly figured it would be a perfect one for us older family members to finally watch.  On August 19th, 2014, Arc Entertainment will release Home Is Where The Heart Is on DVD for families every where to enjoy.  We were thrilled to finally have something more geared towards the whole family and not just another cartoon.

The synopsis says "Disillusioned actress Sunny returns to her hometown of Bent Arrow, Texas, to attend her mother’s funeral and provide guardianship for a half sister she never knew, 10-year old Cotton. The dusty old town is struggling to stay alive, but maintains its quaint and quirky charm. It provides solace for an ex-NFL player, Butch, who is coping with a heart-wrenching loss by painting watercolor postcards at a roadside stand. Sunny and Butch bond over their mutual relationship with Cotton, and come up with a plan to help save the town. When tragedy strikes, their plans are derailed, but hope glimmers in the distance."

We loved the story and thought it was cute seeing the relationships develop as well as each character learning to help each other out!  I thought this was a very typical girlie/family movie where the end is very predictable.  We knew the ending within ten minutes of the movies beginning but thought it was still enjoyable to watch!

Recommendation:  Now while I thought this was a good movie and Alana did as well, I don't know that I would go out and buy it myself.  I would still recommend this movie especially to any families with teenagers!
