Montessori by Mom Box Review

Montessori By Mom
Being that Dane is six now and is heading off to first grade this year, I realized we need to be spending more and more time working with him on early educational lessons throughout the Summer to get him prepared to love all things school related.  With Dane and Alana so far apart in age (10 years to be exact), Dane has always been very interested in the same things she is.

That being said, I was recently asked to review one of the monthly subscription boxes from the brand Montessori by Mom and I was thrilled!  I truly believe the best teachers are parents and the adults directly in contact with today's children.  Having several friends who are teachers, has helped me to understand all the things our teachers do for our kids.  HOWEVER, it all starts at home and if we aren't helping to educate our children, how can we expect teachers to successfully help our kiddos grow.

With that in mind, Montessori by Mom provides "6 to 8 Montessori inspired activities developed by expert Montessori teachers".  Our review box arrived packed with Space themed projects!  Being that we've had issues in the past with breaking the boys of co-sleeping, we started decorating their room with all sorts of light up/glow-in-the-dark stars and planets to encourage them to sleep there.  Not only has this helped with the independent sleeping, it has also sparked an interest in all things space related for both boys.
Space Explorer Toolbox
Dane was thrilled about this one and could not wait to put it together!  Our box included things like a Solar System Model and Space Explorer Guide, a Constellation Activity Set, A Brass Telescope and even a real meteorite!  I could not believe the quality and uniqueness of this subscription box compared to others I've reviewed in the past.

The boys loved the little telescope the most as they fought over who could use it most of the time.  This has helped me with starting Declan early in his education since he is still at home with Mommy learning!

Available to purchase/Cost:  $55.95 Space Explorer
Recommendation:  I think this was both a fun and educational box that is on a great path to keep kids having fun while learning.  The actual box value was $84 but costs only $56.  While this is extremely pricey for a children's box, the quality of materials reflects the higher price point.
