Schwan's Food Home Delivery Review

        Now I don't know about you but I can remember seeing the Schwan's trucks drive by in my neighborhood as a child, always wondering exactly what they are.  I remember thinking they were some form of adult ice cream truck at one point (haha).  Of course as I got older I quickly realized it was one of the first of it's kind as a food delivery brand.  Still, I never had the opportunity to try any of their products and always assumed it was something for people with money who didn't have time to go grocery shopping.

        I was recently given an opportunity by Schwan's to review any of their products and delivery service which made me quite giddy.  I was finally going to be able to try a brand I had known for years AND see if all the hype was true.  After drooling over their extensive menu including a variety of poultry, pork, seafood, and beef as well as sides, appetizers, desserts, and beverages, I had decided on a few items for my family.

        Because they run different deals and coupons during different seasons, I was able to maximize my purchase and picked out 4 Sirloins and 2.5 lbs. of bacon!  Shipment was super easy since I was able to pick how and when I wanted it delivered based on my area as well as my personal schedule.  The timing was perfect too as we had been in the process of moving into a new home nonstop for the previous two days.

        We decided this would be a perfect opportunity to cook for the first time in the new home AND to treat our best friends who had been helping the whole time to a special thank you meal.  We decided to grill our steaks for dinner and the bacon for breakfast the next morning.  I cannot begin to explain to you how amazing these steaks tasted and how juicy they were.  If this is any hint...since we were without running water at this point, my friend decided he would help with cleaning dishes by literally licking his plate clean!  Even as adults a meal like this can make you behave a little nutty! :)

Recommendation: Although these seem on the pricier side of products of this nature, I realize now that you are getting more than your money's worth in any purchase you make.  These meats, meals, sides, desserts, etc. are expertly flavored and absolutely will not disappoint.  My honest and only complaint is that I wasn't allowed to purchase one of everything to sample (for the obvious reasons)!  There are a bunch more products you better believe I will be buying over the next few months to try out!!!
