A Treasury of Christmas Classics Book Review and #Giveaway
If you celebrate Christmas, there is absolutely nothing like waking up Christmas morning and seeing the magic you once felt on the faces of your little ones. Even as an adult I still feel like there is a special magically glow over the holiday that no one can explain.
For me and my family personally, Christmas has always been one of the big special holidays. We have tons of traditions that seem to have been carried down over the last few generations. So when I was asked to review the book, A Treasury of Christmas Classics, I knew it would be something I could read to the boys on Christmas morning especially.
The synopsis says, "Celebrate Christmas with three holiday favorites, The Nutcracker, The Twelve Days of Christmas, and The Night Before Christmas in this exquisite illustrated collection. From E.T.A. Hoffmann’s magical, romantic tale to the joyful Christmas carol to Clement C. Moore’s cherished poem of St. Nicholas, this magical treasury is filled with love, warmth, and yuletide cheer."
I thought this was a great collection and even though we've only read through a few of the stories and only once, I cannot wait for the moment we read this as a family Christmas morning. It will be a beautiful break from all the chaos of opening gifts and kids running nuts.
Giveaway: Running Press is going to give one of A Lucky Ladybug's lucky readers A Treasury of Christmas Classics to have of their own!
