Batman vs. Robin DVD Review

Now my boys have always been big into super heroes, whether its watching them in movies or on TV, or acting out scenarios with each other and friends.  My husband and I also grew up surrounded by the classics of Batman, Spiderman and Superman.  When we first heard about the new DVD from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Batman vs. Robin, we figured it would be perfect for a family movie night.  Own it on Blu-ray™ Combo, DVD and Digital HD, today,  April 14th, 2015.

The synopsis says "When Batman finds himself under attack by his own son, Damian (aka Robin), he at first suspects the hand of Ra's Al Ghul behind the treachery, but then comes to see that the boy may be controlled of a mysterious and murderous society known as the Court of Owls."

When the DVD came in Dane wanted to watch it right away but Declan was a little skeptical about it.  I found it interesting because he’s usually all about the superhero movies.  Though, his reasoning was the confusion as to why Batman and Robin (two good guys) were fighting.  Once we actually watched it, Declan was all about the story line.  Then Dane became confused why Batman and Robin were against each other too.  We were also all confused as to why Robin was Batman's son as that isn't the typical story line.

After watching it, Dane said he really liked it! Batman is also my daughter’s favorite super hero, so she also enjoyed watching the movie with the boys.  I do have to mention, be prepared as this is NOT a cartoon for young children.  There is more than the typical super hero action and I caught several cuss words throughout.

DVD SRP: $19.97
Recommendation:  I thought it was a good and different movei for the Batman story line but I was not a fan of the adult theme and language.  The boys did like it quite a bit though.  I would not spend $20 for the DVD though if I had my say in it.
