The Jim Henson Company 60th Anniversary Celebration #Giveaway

Today, "September 24, The Jim Henson Company celebrates 60 years of entertainment excellence, creating innovative entertainment that has impacted the lives of what is now four generations of fans". With some of the most notorious characters from my childhood, I was pretty excited when asked if I'd be interested in celebrating this epic anniversary with my readers and family!

While most known for the Muppet characters, The Jim Henson Company has since then been creating some pretty awesome children's shows for today's youth!  Of course, I've shared with you my boys obsession with dinosaurs and the show Dinosaur Train.  We've also loved watching Sid the Science Kid in the past.  This time around I was sent a new variety of shows and books (or at least new to our family).

These included the following: Dinosaur Train: Buddy's Halloween Adventure DVD, Doozers: Spookypalooza DVD, Pajanimals: Spooky Costumes DVD, Sid the Science Kid DVD, Doozers Catch A Ride Book, Doozers Stick With It Book, and Enchanted Sisters: Winter’s Flurry Adventure Winter Book.  Click the following link to read the description/synopsis of each of these.

Being no stranger to Dinosaur Train and Sid the Science Kid, the boys jumped on these DVD's faster than ever.  They were a bit hesitant on the others as they'd never seen them before.  However, with us watching my nephew on the weekdays around here, it brought a new opportunity to take a look at the other shows.  Jaxon was absolutely obsessed with Pajanimals and the Doozers.

I swear we watched Pajanimals at least a dozen times in a row the first day.  But if I am being honest, the theme while perfect for relaxing a little one, totally put me to sleep!  The boys both enjoyed reading the books to their cousin.  Declan is starting to learn to read quite well and Dane just loves sharing special reading time with his little cousin!

Recommendation:  Personally I think this whole company is amazing!  All the kids enjoy the shows with each loaded with great lessons instead of the weird "crap" you see on TV nowadays. I recommend checking the Jim Henson Company out if you haven't in a while as now is the time to celebrate along with such an amazing brand!
