The Journey Home DVD Review and #Giveaway

I was recently asked to review a new movie from RLJ Entertainment called The Journey Home and I honestly figured it would be a perfect one for Dane and the older family members to finally watch together.  On September 22nd, 2015, RLJ Entertainment releases The Journey Home on Digital Video and DVD for families every where to enjoy.  We were thrilled to finally have something more geared towards the whole family and not just another cartoon.

The synopsis says "When Luke Mercier (Dakota Goyo, Real Steel) heard some noise outside his house, he never could have guessed what he would find.  Discovering a young polar bear cub that has been separated from its mother, Luke knows he has to do something to help. Despite the warnings of his family and friends, Luke speeds off on a snowmobile, with the cub in tow, deep into the frozen wilderness.  But when a violent storm closes in, Luke’s mother (Bridget Moynahan, “Blue Bloods”) and family friend Muktuk (Goran Visnjic, “ER”) frantically search for the daring pair as they defy starvation and below freezing temperatures so both boy and bear can complete their own journeys home."
We loved the story and the bravery shown by Luke.  It was cute seeing the relationships develop between himself and the cub and how it teaches you to never give up on something as anything is possible when you put your mind to it.  I thought this was a very difficult movie to make it through without crying especially as a mother but the tears were well worth it.
