Against the Wild 2: Survive The Serengeti DVD Review and #Giveaway

Not only are we big on any movie involving animals, the boys love adventures of all sizes.  So when I recently heard about the new movie from Anchor Bay Entertainment, I knew it would be a good one for our family to watch together!  On May 10th, 2016, releases Against the Wild 2: Survive The Serengeti to on DVD and On Demand.

The Synopsis says "For bickering siblings Ryan (John Paul Ruttan of Shelby: A Magical Holiday Tail) and Emma (Ella Ballentine of Standoff), it was going to be a fun weekend visit with their dad who is temporarily working in Africa. But when their small plane crash-lands in the Serengeti, they have only each other – along with their fellow passenger, a Malamute named Chinook – to rely on. The rescue teams are searching.

Their mom (Jeri Ryan of “Star Trek: Voyager” and “Boston Public”) is panicked. Can brother, sister and one courageous dog now learn how to conquer their fears and trust each other in the most beautiful yet untamed wilderness of all? Ashley Dowds (“Scout’s Safari”) co-stars in this exciting new family adventure from the creator of the original Against the Wild Richard Boddington."

I was a bit disappointed when watching this to learn we had actually missed the first movie.  While they don't exactly require watching in order, it would have been nice to watch both movies.  Typical for siblings, my children are no different with their arguing.  I loved watching a movie which encourages them to work together.  We are always explaining to the boys that they need to stand up for each other and remember how lucky they are to have each other.  Watching the inspiration and motivation shown by the kids, the boys truly enjoyed this one.  It was a good learning point for them as well as entertaining.
