Lionsgate A Very Thomas Christmas DVD Review and Giveaway

Lionsgate Shop
I am excited to share with you all a new opportunity I have stumbled across.  I was recently accepted into the Lionsgate blogger program and couldn't be more thrilled.  I have never had an opportunity before now to review any movies.  I consider myself and my husband to be DVD hoarders.  We truly love watching movies of all kinds and discussing them after.  We think of ourselves as the best critics in the world of course.  We love to compete to see who can predict the ending.

My boys have always been strange ones in my opinion when it comes to watching there children's programs.  They both love things like Tinkerbell or strawberry shortcake and not a ton of boyish shows.  I guess the biggest thing is we don't watch a whole ton of TV in our house....usually just movies and video games.  One of the shows that Dane has always been a fan of though has been Thomas the Train.  He loves his toy trains and "helping" his other cars out.

"A Very Thomas Christmas" is now available from Lionsgate Home Entertainment on DVD, Digital Download and On Demand since October 9th, 2012.  It includes four episodes plus one bonus episode and two bonus feature games/puzzles.

I wish I could have video taped my interview with Dane as he explained what "A Very Thomas Christmas" was about.  He explained to me that Emily (another train) wasn't being helpful in looking for one of the conductors hats.  He said she was jealous because she wanted to be the train to carry all the presents and in the end Thomas got to because he helped out when others needed it like looking for the hat.  <--All Danes words!

The synopsis says "All aboard for a special holiday delivery filled with friendship, teamwork and fun! Rheneas slows down and discovers the perfect Christmas tree. Charlie knows how fun snow can be and discovers that teamwork in the snow is the most fun of all. Edward gets Salty just what he asked for – the perfect story to re-tell -- and Emily learns the best way to be Really Useful. Unwrap the holiday adventures with Thomas and his friends and best wishes for A Very Thomas Christmas!"

Thomas & Friends
Cost:  $14.98
Recommendation:  Although this is my first movie review I would have to say for the price I didn't think the DVD was quite worth it unless your child is a huge Thomas fan as it isn't quite long enough for my children.  They enjoy watching a whole movie and not separate episodes even on one DVD.  The story line was great with some good lessons!
