myCharge Summit 3000 Review

        As a blogger technology and electronics are a huge part of my life!  Being up on the newest and best in each category is key.  But I am also a green living blogger which causes for some serious controversy when using all of this technology.  I can't always seem to find that happy medium between wanting the latest technology and conserving energy.  That is unless I am able to find an energy saving or possibly solar product!  You know that I recently made the switch to solar powered string lighting and have been since then searching out other great ways to keep up.

        While doing a search for any items such as this, I stumbled on PowerBag.com which carries solar powered bags and backpacks.  Each bag charges your different devices without having to be stuck at home or near an outlet.  I then discovered their sister/partner company MyCharge.com  which offers a similar variety of products but they are not limited to being part of a bag.

        MyCharge.com offers extended batteries for iPhone, iPod touch, Tablets, and Android Devices as well as a new line of products called myCharge.  myCharge products are rechargeable battery packs that will charge most any gadget especially the ones listed above and more than one at a time!

         I was given an opportunity to review the Summit 3000 model which features a built-in USB charging cable, a built-in Apple® and Micro USB connectors.  There is also an on-board USB port which allows you to charge hundreds of other devices.  The Summit 3000 allows you to charge up to three devices at once.  There is even a nice voice built in with four languages (English, Spanish, French, Portuguese) which lets you know when your charger is full or needs to be charged and your device status as well.

        "Experience 13 more hours of talk time (3G), up to 17 more hours of video or up to 67 more hours of music".  Now I originally got this for myself since I am always carrying around dead phones and laptops and my family is always complaining they can never get a hold of me.  However, Kevin has completely taken this over!  He is obsessed with using this instead of his normal plug in wall charger since he can take this anywhere he pleases!

Recommendation:  To be honest you pay 3x this for most phones/devices these days and most of the accessories themselves are a minimum of $30 a piece   Now with this you don't have to worry about purchasing a separate charger for each device (spending probably twice as much as this costs) or going without battery life again!  Well worth the purchase and makes for a great gift for the techie in your life.
