Paperless Kitchen Bambooee Perforated Reusable Bamboo Towels Review and Giveaway

PaperlessKitchen.com
In making the decision to begin a major transition to have a green household, there are always going to be struggles. whether it's favorite products or a dependable brand that you've been loyal to forever.  Sometimes it's not everyone's decision or everyone doesn't give a 100% commitment.  Whatever it is though everyone needs to be reasonable and make those changes at their own speed.

I recently mentioned that one of those "difficulties" for us has been dryer sheets.  My husband is obsessed with them.  Another item we have had a difficult time with has been paper towel.  Those just seem to be the two items he is not negotiable on.

Thankfully Paperless Kitchen agreed to send me a roll of their Bambooee Perforated Reusable Bamboo Towels to review.  I was super thrilled to get these in the mail and of course Kevin was a bit hesitant.  After some explanation of these and what their benefits are, he was interested in putting them to the test.

Bamboo towels look the same as a regular paper towel and come in a roll just the same.  The difference you do notice right away is the thickness of them is bit more than an actual paper towel (maybe like 3-4 sheets thick).  These even tear off the same way.  The only thing is you don't through them away.  Each sheet can be used for up to 1.5 weeks and washed up to 20 times.

"When you purchase a roll of 20 Bambooee sheets, it replaces 60 paper towel rolls, helping you reduce waste and save money.   Made from certified organic bamboo, a sustainable source, the Bambooee Towels are also strong, absorbent and durable."  They are completely recyclable, biodegradable and compostable.

Kevin's true test was to see if we could heat a few slices of bacon on a sheet in the microwave (to soak up the grease like we normally do with paper towel), then wash it and still use it again without all the funk.  Low and behold this worked amazing!  Not only could I use the bamboo towel the same, I only needed one sheet to soak up the grease where as before I would use probably 3-4 sheets.  Each sheet came out of the wash perfectly clean!

Cost: $12.99/roll
Available to purchase: Paperless Kitchen
Recommendation:  You would normally pay around $2.50/roll of say Bounty Paper towel, so yes of course this is much more expensive.  But if 1 bamboo roll replaces 60 regular rolls, you are actually looking at a price comparison of $12.99/roll (reusable) or $150/60 rolls (throw away).  Not really a question there as to what the better option is in more ways than one - saving money, saving, earth resources, saving waste, etc.  Don't buy another disposable roll again knowing this!!

I like the way you have the labels organized and alphabetized on the left so things are easy to find. I think you do a great job on the reviews.
