There are a few things you should know about me by now - I am a green free living chick, I am a socialite and love drinking with my girls especially, and I desperately want to lose weight and get into better shape for more reasons than I can count. But if you look at the this short list, sometimes these things can be difficult to do all at once. With a lack of funds some "green" products can be unattainable; being a socialite/party planner makes it difficult to stop the social eating and drinking; and when trying to lose weight drinking alcohol never helps.
Every once in a while I come across an aha product that fits perfectly into my lifestyle almost as if it were made for me. Gail Curtis created Wine-Trax "To help others achieve their wellness goals by offering a common-sense approach to portion control which is discreet, effortless and elegant."
She was fantastic enough to send me a set of Wine-Trax® wine glasses which discretely measure your wine portions. This is great if you are trying to be exact with your calorie intake even when splurging. Now you can truly keep track of how many glasses you have or what affect it may have on your diet.
Even coming from a restaurant background, I've always said wine glasses should have these marks included on the glasses to begin with. I always found it so irritating to have to line up a wine glass with a sample one (which consisted of tape around it showing the correct pour line).
This is going to sound terrible but you all know I am honest - When I drink wine at my mother's house we drink it out of red solo cups to avoid the children from breaking the glasses which they have done tons of times in the past. It is virtually impossible for me to keep up calories and glasses throughout the evening.
I have decided to designate these glasses as my mothers set so I can keep better track. The great thing is these aren't your average delicate glasses. They are dishwasher and microwave safe (not child proof though).
Available to purchase: Wine-trax
Recommendation: I love these! I think they are great regardless of your reasoning for having them. My only complaint is that they are a bit pricey but I a guessing that's a little bit in part to the etched lines. I think these are a great accessory to have in any home even if it is to measure where the pour should be.
Giveaway: Wine-Trax is going to give one of A Lucky Ladybug's lucky readers a set of Wine-Trax of their own!
