Angelina Ballerina®: Dance Around the World DVD Review and Giveaway

Apparently Angelina is a preschool favorite for girls!  The newest five-episode collection Angelina Ballerina®: Dance Around the World became available on DVD, Digital Download and On Demand on January 8, 2013 from Lionsgate and HIT Entertainment. "Angelina Ballerina is perfect for girls, embodying dance, music and performance while inspiring girls to achieve their dreams."

The Synopsis says "Angelina and her friends explore dances from near and far as they boogie, bop, skip and hop around the world in these exciting adventures. In step with a lively Irish Jig, the festive Chinese Dragon Dance, the smooth Cheddar cheese Slide with a French flair and more, the mouselings teach each other – and themselves – about the power of dance….and friendship. Step to some new beats with great friends and global grooves that every young mouseling will love!"
This time when Hit Entertainment asked me to review their newest DVD release Angelina Ballerina: Dance Around the World, We decided it would be perfect for Amy and her girls!  When it arrived in the mail though Declan immediately was interested in watching it.  Although he watched it once and danced a bit to it, he seemed very uninterested so along to Amy's house it went!

According to Mikayla, "It was good Mamma!"  They both sat and watched the entire movie, Hannah lost interest toward the end of it, but Mikayla was glued to the TV the whole time.  To be honest I only caught bits and pieces of the movie, but I've seen the program so was able to follow when I wasn't working on getting Hannah's birthday party invites done.  It kept the girls quiet for 61 minutes and after the program it had previews for other Angelina Ballerina DVD's and Mikayla was saying that she doesn't have the one's that were advertised.  So now of course we will have to be on the look out for the next ones to come out!
Series 300 Angelina and the Irish Jig 5
Cost:  $14.98 DVD
Recommendation:  It was very cute and had a lot of cultural music and showed how the friends solved their different ways of thinking using their words instead of resorting to violence.  I really like the show for that and it also show's both male and female dancers, so maybe my girls who couldn't be more opposite might both want to join a dance class in a couple years.
