Best Buy Recycling Program - Electronics, Ink Cartridges and More

Recycle
There are so many ways you can help out when it comes to being more "green" and saving your planet.  Most of the time these tips and tricks can actually save you money in the long run as well!!  You can recycle just about everything if you take the time to find out where and/or how?  Things like glass, plastic, paper, electronics, appliances, and even some old food (if you compost).

You can look up your nearest Best Buy which is a great place to recycle old electronics.  As the world's largest retailer of consumer electronics, "Best Buy recycles 387 pounds of electronics each minute our stores are open."  Regardless of purchase date or location they accept it and will safely dispose each product responsibly.
ENERGY STAR Partner
Because "technology is the fastest growing waste stream on the planet", it needs become a huge focus in everyone's daily life.  Best Buy recycling is currently available for FREE in every Best Buy location throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

Not only does Best Buy carry a whole line of Energy Star certified products you can upgrade your old ones to but they will even "remove an old or obsolete appliance from your home for free when a replacement Best Buy product is delivered by Geek Squad® or Best Buy® Home Delivery".  In some cases you can even turn in your gently used appliances for Gift Cards to Best Buy - Yes free money for doing the right thing!
Trade In and Save
Don't forget you can also recycle your old ink cartridges and toners as well as old rechargeable batteries.  If you have something that Best Buy cannot recycle they will help you find the right place that will.  Whether you've already used the program over at Best Buy or this is new to you I encourage you to check it out and help secure a better future for yourself and your family!!  If you have used this service I'd love to hear about it as well!!

  1. I need to do something with my laptop that I replaced this year. I will consider this. I haven't been sure what to do with it because I could never get it to do anything but give me a snowy screen, so all of my personal info is still on there
