Eco Chic Gift Baskets Review and Giveaway

You know all too often, I hear about people claiming to be eco-enthusiasts.  It is always great to hear these types of things or that families are making an effort to change the way they live to be more conscious or the earth.  But, sometimes we forget to keep making those changes in all areas of our lives OR at all times of the year.  What I am ultimately getting at is we forget that if we want to change the planet and influence those around us, we might want to think about making that change in the gifts we give (or even want to receive).

I have to be honest, I despise Christmas purely for the fact that I believe it to be one of the most wasteful times of year.  There are trees cut down, used as decorations, and thrown away as garbage; there are tons (literally tons) of wrapping paper used and thrown into landfills; and finally all the packaging or plastic containers everything comes in that make it into the landfill.  Its just plain disgusting.

Which is why when I discovered Eco Chic Gift Baskets, I had to get in touch with them to see if I could help get the word out about what they are doing to "make their change".  Eco Chic Gift Baskets carries "unique organic gift baskets, containing only the best natural and organic skin care products, baby items, natural and organic gourmet foods and fair trade artisan merchandise – a beautiful selection of green gifts for any occasion!"

I was graciously sent over two baskets to review - Tickle Someone Pink Organic Gift Basket and 3R's Organic Spa Gift Basket.  The first thing I noticed which I mentioned in a recent review is the packing peanuts once these arrived.  I was thrilled to find the dissolve-able eco friendly ones instead of yet another company claiming to be 'Green' and they really aren't 100%.

I loved the cute and useful products which were included as well as another important thing - the stuffing or shredding was really recycled shredded paper which I was able to toss into my compost easily.  Not only is Eco Chic Gift Baskets committed to preserving our earth but the companies they work with as well.  Their "containers include either natural, hand-made, woven baskets, or recycled/ recyclable containers."

Cost/Available to Purchase:  $48 Tickle Someone Pink Organic Gift Basket
$77 3R's Organic Spa Gift Basket
Recommendation:  Now I did think the prices were a little steep but when you realize everything you are getting is in hopes of preserving the planet and can be reused in some way around your home, the cost honestly balances out.  After working with this company and speaking with the owner, I truly believe in this brand and hope you will give them a try too or at least a looksy!!
