Strawesome Glass Straws Review and #Giveaway

From the very first week I started being a product reviewer, I have wanted to work with a company which makes the glass straws.  There are so many wasteful pet peeves I have as an eco-enthusiast and throwing away something as simple and small as a plastic straw is one of them.  The glass straws just makes it easy to reduce your waste around the home!  So needless to say, when Strawesome agreed to send me over a few to review, I hopped on that boat immediately.

As many of you know I am extremely green friendly and using reusable cups and water bottles is just one small thing I can do to help out in a big way.  My family very rarely uses paper/plastic anything because I won't let them.  Glass straws are another great way to reduce your families waste and will last a lifetime!  Plus these come in some really cute and funky designs to add some flare to your everyday beverages.

Strawesome was founded in 2009 by a local Michigan family (go fellow michiganders!)  They are a company with a firm "commitment to health and the environment."  Each straw is handmade in Michigan and has a lifetime guarantee.  "Made from the Safest and Strongest Commercially Available Beverage Glassware", these are dishwasher and microwave safe.  Not to worry either as they are "BPA-Free, Toxin-Free, Non-porous and hypo-allergenic".

I was sent a straw of my choice from Strawesome.  Each straw ranges in different sizes, lengths, some with a bend and others with decorative dots and swirls.  Everyone in our family loves to use these and they fit perfectly into the sippy cup lids or other drinking cups!  Hopefully my destructive children will not break these or chip them in any way.  Although I have to say they seem pretty hardy to normal wear and tear.
Cost/Available to purchase:  $7-15 Individual Straws
Recommendation:  I love love love these!!  I think they are a great addition to my already green friendly kitchen and they make even a pop bottle look a little classier!  I do wish they were a little cheaper but I totally understand the cost as they will last for a very long time.

  3. From the regular straws I like the barely bent straws BUT I'd love the Party Time Set of 6, the barely bent colored, funky family set. Would also need a case to go and a brush.

  4. My favorites are the Blue Lagoon Straw and the Serendipity Barely Bent Long Smoothie Straw. There were others I liked but those were the 2 I had the most trouble picking between. Strawberry Barely Bent Straw is close behind also I think I would really like those 3 at least :)

  14. I have looked at glass straws a couple of times & thought of purchasing. My husband & I don't ever use a straw but the grandchildren do. My concern is that they might bite them or chew on them & have them break in their mouth. Has this been an issue with your children? It just seems that children always chew on their straws.
