Hearth Song Garden Fort Review and #Giveaway

Because I spend so much time outdoors in my garden working on my plants and just plain enjoying the Summer weather, I am always trying to find new ways of getting my kiddos involved.  I am obsessed with having as much fun gardening especially with my kids as possible.  I've thought about buying greenhouses in the past to give the kids a specific location to go and enjoy the beauty of the garden but it never really made a ton of sense for the boys being as young as they are!

When I was browsing around the Hearth Song website, I discovered (what I think is) the coolest thing ever for garden lovers with kids!  They carry a little something called Gardenfort™.  Its pretty much exactly what it sounds like but much cooler since it is a living fort made of lush vines and leaves!  Using simple framework and a plastic netting which covers the dwelling, plants are able to grow up and around your children's new hang out!

Not only do I love the plain beauty of this whole idea but it makes for a wonderful place for children to escape into an imaginary world of nature!  Now since mine has not quite had the time to produce large enough vines, we don't quite have a finished picture.  The kit comes with three varieties of seeds: Black-Eyed Susan Vine, Cypress Vine, and asparagus beans.  However, you can use really any type of plant you may prefer.  We chose to add a few mandavilla's since we tend to love the beautiful scenery they create!

Designed for ages 4 and up, I personally think Declan (3 y.o.) loves it the most as he got to help Daddy put it together.  I like how this also comes with a tarp perfectly fit for the bottom of the fort if you decide you want to you use it.  It keeps the kids from getting any dirtier than they already do and we have already used it to toss a blanket on top for a pretty picnic!!

Available to purchase/Cost:  $69.98 Garden Fort
Recommendation:  I definitely would recommend this to anyone who gardens or who enjoys a nice sitting outdoors.  This makes for a great gift for the outdoors family and honestly is very reasonably priced for something which seems like its going to last a long time!
