Barney Story Time with Barney DVD Review and #Giveaway

Barney®: Story Time with Barney becomes available on DVD, Digital Download and On Demand on January 21, 2014 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment. The DVD will include three episodes as well as  a “Short Stories with Barney” featurette.

"Trusted by moms and adored by children, Barney displays sharing, caring, imagination, dancing and learning on television, online and through live events, home entertainment, toys and publishing. In 2013, Barney is celebrating over 25 years of love and friendship with the Barney 25 Million Hugs campaign. Barney is inviting fans of all ages to help him reach his goal of sharing 25 million Barney hugs around the world through the site www.ShareBarneyHugs.com and via email, Facebook and Twitter. "

The synopsis says "Once upon a time, Baby Bop, Ryan and Daniel joined Barney on some storybook adventures! With the help of classic tales, the Dinos and friends learn important lessons like patience, honesty and perseverance. Baby Bop must contain her excitement to understand that good things come to those who wait, Ryan sees that it’s better to be honest and play fair and Daniel discovers that practice makes perfect! Barney shows that stories, imagination and friends can lead to Happily Ever After!"

Now I am not a fan of Barney by any stretch of the imagination, but my kids seem to be glued to the television when he is on TV.  So I guess that's one for the big purple dinosaur. This time around they seemed a little less interested so I think they may be growing out of the Barney stage. I actually despise this guy because of how much my sister would make me watch him when she was younger.  I do have to say I love all the encouragement to celebrate the arts and being creative!

Cost:  $14.98
Recommendation:  I don't what to say this time around as they seemed a bit bored watching this DVD and I have to say I am a little hopeful that we may be out of the Barney stage.  While I will say if your kids are fans this was yet another good one to have in the series!

  2. I sneak in a kind of cartoon movie with my grandson when I can, Mom does not like him watching too much TV or anything. But it is hard because babies are always drawn to anything on TV it seems. I will get him interested in Sid The Science Kid!
