So I don't like to keep anything disposable in my house that I really don't have to.  That means paper plates, napkins, paper towels, plastic or paper cups, etc.  Kids are messy so it is difficult to use anything ceramic or breakable in general.  Problem is that most of the reusable products available in this area are plastic.

Not only are the chemicals used to make plastic harmful (and they can actually leak into to your food) but the effect that all the waste has on our planet is devastating.  Companies like Life Without Plastic are taking a stand and providing alternative products to help make "being green" easier.  "We wanted to address the environmental disaster that the consumption of plastic is causing, and the damage that leaching plastic can cause to human and animal health."

I was sent over their 3-Piece Stainless Steel Dish Set to review.  If you happen to read my most recent review of the WonderTop, you know how I feel about stainless steel!  This dish set includes a plate with flattened sides for carrying, a insulated, double-walled bowl, and a insulated, double-walled tumbler as well.  All three products are made from a food grade 304 stainless steel.

Not only does stainless steel clean much easier than most other surfaces (ie. plastic, ceramic, wood, acrylic) but it prevents bacteria from developing in the cracks and crevices like it can with those others.  This set even comes packaged in an eco-friendly kraft cardboard box!
Both the bowl and tumbler have the double wall to both keep food warm or cooler longer as well as to protect tiny hands from those temps.  The set is also dishwasher safe!  My only issue when it comes to these is that they cannot be used in the microwave making quick preparation a bit longer of a process if going that route.

Available to purchase/Cost:  $32.95 3-Piece Stainless Steel Dish Set
Recommendation:  I have mixed feelings about this package itself.  I think the company overall provides an amazing selection of products however this set is a bit expensive for my taste AND being just for kiddos.
