Penny Auctions Canada Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Penny Auctions Canada
Not only do I try to keep up with the latest trends, but my teenage daughter is sure to.  We are always looking for the latest bargains so we can be those trendy chicks without having to spend an arm and a leg.  Normally I would have started of this review telling you of an amazing place where you could find these deals, however this isn't the case with this review.
I was pretty excited when Penny Auctions Canada asked me to review one of their trendy Leather Charm Bracelets.  Even knowing these were more than affordable, I thought it would be a great deal as these have become a popular style accessory for today's teens.  Penny Auctions Canada is "thrilled to bring you a new online shopping and entertainment experience that will meet all your needs for the latest in value shopping."

"Our innovative and user friendly live auction windows will allow value seekers to find all their favourite items for a fraction of the retail price."  I was sent over their Leather Charm Bracelet, Blue Love style.  Upon arrival we discovered it was damaged and the links were not in tact.

I will give them one major bonus point and that is their customer service.  Once I contacted them, they responded immediately and offered to re-ship a replacement right away.  A few weeks later my replacement arrived (so not as fast as the original shipment) and arrived in a plain envelope so basically unprotected.  This second bracelet was broken as well which you can see in my pictures.

Unfortunately the second bracelet was even more in pieces so I am not sure if this is from the shipping in a basic envelope without any padding or tissue paper or if it's because the products from this company are cheaply made to begin with.

Available to purchase/Cost:  $16 Leather Charm Bracelet - Blue Love
Recommendation:  Unfortunately this company is two for two with product fails.  Not only is this disappointing alone but knowing the quality they sent two times and looking at the supposed discount price of $16, I can tell you I would never purchase this.  I feel as though I could have found a similar bracelet from somewhere at the mall like Claire's for cheaper and better quality.  The only thing they won me over with was the very initial customer service.

  1. This bracelet sells on Amazon for under $4 with free shipping - and most of the reviews mention damage, or it breaking quickly. I expected that with $4, but $16 is outrageous for the quality - how are they PENNY auctions? I'm confused.
