*Read my Disclosure
Most likely you never think about pest control until you see signs of bugs crawling around your counters, floors and walls. Before the next invasion happens, there are some steps you can take to keep those annoying pests from getting inside your home.

Seal Up Cracks and Holes
Go around your home and do a thorough inspection of all walls and ceilings. Make a note of areas that need to be sealed. This includes cracks in the foundation, siding, around pipes and wiring.

Fix Windows and Doors
Repair any windows and doors that show signs of wear and tear with cracks. Repair any tears you find in screens.

Clean Drains
Some insects like the moist environment they find among the debris in kitchen and bathroom drains. Periodically clean out drains.

Keep Food Tightly Sealed
Put dry foods like cereal, flour and sugar in resealable plastic bags or inside tight containers. Always keep garbage inside covered cans that close tightly.

Remove Natural Bridges
Bugs use natural bridges such as bushes, trees and mulch to get into your home. Trim bushes and branches close to the home. Replace mulch with stones or seashells.

Remove the Clutter
Bugs thrive in piles of clutter. Remove clutter sitting too close to doors and windows. Tidy homes have less bug trouble.

Treating common household pests can be simple by taking some preventative steps around the home that are easy to do. If all else fails, contact a local pest control service to quickly get rid of those pesky pests.
