Warner Bros. Entertainment May 5th Release Roundup Review and #Giveaway

I was happy when I was asked to review the two newest movies from Warner Bros. Entertainment - Scooby-Doo! 13 Spooky Tales: Surfs Up Scooby-Doo! and Sesame Street: Elmo the Musical Volume 2: Imagine and Learn.   But my excitment was nothing compared to the boys when they first heard.  Both will be released on DVD and Digital HD on May 5th, 2015.  Not only have my children (as well as most of the world) always been huge fans of Elmo but they are huge into the Scooby-Doo gang too!

The Sesame Street: Elmo the Musical Volume 2: Imagine and Learn synopsis says "kids will sing, dance, play and imagine along with Elmo on math-filled adventures!  They’ll join Elmo as he becomes a cowboy in his musical “The Count-by-Two Kid,” and escorts six kitty-cows through a canyon to the Double Double Dude Dude Ranch Ranch. Next, they’ll don a detective hat with Elmo to help investigate the secret behind all the sneezing. An extension of Sesame Street’s STEAM curriculum (science, technology, engineering, arts and math), each episode is an interactive, fun-filled musical adventure created by Elmo and the child at home. Focusing on imagination and math skills, such as enumeration, relational concepts, addition/subtraction, geometric shapes and many more, Elmo takes viewers on thrilling explorations as he imagines himself in many adventures."

"Now in its 45th season, Sesame Street is the longest-running program in children’s television and the number one top-of-mind preschool show with moms. Sesame Street also has the highest "co-viewing" experience - meaning adults watching with kids - of any preschool show. The series has received more Emmy awards than any other show in television history, as well as a Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award honoring the 40th year."

This collection includes over two hours and seven all-new episodes.  With Declan being so musically talented, I love providing him with movies and shows like this where he can learn through music.  Both boys not only loved this but Alana (my teenager) actually enjoyed singing with the boys right along with the episodes.

The Scooby-Doo! 13 Spooky Tales: Surfs Up Scooby-Doo! synopsis says, "For Scooby-Doo, Shaggy and the rest of the crime-busting crew, life is never a day at the beach. So when the Gang go to a resort in Florida for a much-needed vacation, they kick back and enjoy some sun, sand and… a sea monster?! When a weird, water creature causes trouble in paradise by stealing precious jewels, the Gang will either sink, or swim to solve the case. Also, watch Scooby-Doo make a splash in 12 more fun-filled summertime episodes full of nautical nuisances. Will the Gang throw in the towel when they face aquatic apparitions, haunted lighthouses, and other oceanic oddities? Pick up this collection today so the entire family can ride the wave of scary fun and adventure with Scooby-Doo!"

This is an old favorite of everyone including Kevin and Alana!  Recently, we acquired a new furry family member who seems to look like Scooby's identical twin AND his personality does too!  We love the shenanigans the gang gets into and being such a big Halloween family, we just love the spooky tales and ghosts in each episode!

Cost:  $14.98 each
Recommendation:  The kiddos loved both DVD's and I thought being able to watch two classics along with each of them was fantastic!  I love how much they can learn from each of the lessons in Elmo and the fun and excitement in Scooby-Doo!  I would definitely recommend either of these DVD's for your kiddos.
