Who doesn't think about what our pets do during the day while we are gone? Who hasn't wondered what our pets think about or perhaps what conversations they have when we aren't around? I was extremely excited to have the opportunity to review the newly released movie, The Secret Life of Pets! We knew this was one our family would all love being such a huge pet family.
The Secret Life of Pets is available on Digital HD November 22nd, 2016 and 4K Ultra HD™, Blu-ray™ 3D, Blu-ray™, DVD and On Demand December 6th, 2016 from Universal Studios Home Entertainment. With a house full of over a dozen pets, we were really looking forward to watching the all star cast put a voice to our furry family members!
The synopsis says "The Secret Life of Pets, a comedy about the lives our pets lead when we leave for work or school. Max, voiced by Louis C.K., is a loyal terrier living a perfectly happy existence until his owner, Katie (Ellie Kemper) brings home Duke (Eric Stonestreet) a big, boisterous mutt she finds at the shelter. When Max and his unruly new “roommate” slip away from their dog-walker, they find themselves lost in the urban jungle of New York City. In an attempt to stay ahead of animal control and a rebel band of abandoned pets led by an unhinged bunny named Snowball (Kevin Hart), they put aside their differences to survive the epic journey back home."
The evening this arrived we all watched this as a family and honestly at least three times after the first. We loved the spunk of the characters and immediately began making up story lines for our furry family. What a great story about the fun our pets have as well as the bond they potentially have with each other. We see the other side of the same excitement when we arrive home each day! I'd highly recommend this movie for ANYONE with pets!
