The Emoji Movie Holiday Must Have #HGG #HolidayGift

I'm hoping that by now you've all heard about the exciting new movie and even gone out and grabbed yourself a copy of the The Emoji Movie.  Unfortunately I'm about a week behind sharing all about it because everyone in my family seemed to catch the Fall cold bug the last few weeks.  Though we've all been stuck in bed and pretty miserable, we've kept pretty entertained watching The Emoji Movie over and over again all week!

The Emoji Movie arrived for the first time on Digital on October 10th, 2017 and on Blu-ray + Digital and DVD on October 24 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.  Featuring an all-star voice cast including T.J. Miller, James Corden, Anna Faris, Maya Rudolph, Steven Wright, Jennifer Coolidge, Jake T. Austin, and Sir Patrick Stewart.  The Emoji Movie is filled with interactive bonus materials on the Digital, Blu-ray and DVD.

The synopsis says "The animated comedy unlocks the never-before-seen secret world inside your smartphone.  Hidden within the messaging app is Textopolis, a bustling city where all your favorite emojis live, hoping to be selected by the phone’s user. In this world, each emoji has only one facial expression – except for Gene (T.J. Miller), an exuberant emoji who was born without a filter and is bursting with multiple expressions.

Determined to become “normal” like the other emojis, Gene enlists the help of his handy best friend Hi-5 (James Corden) and the notorious code breaker emoji Jailbreak (Anna Faris). Together, they embark on an epic “app-venture” through the apps on the phone, each its own wild and fun world, to find the code that will fix Gene. But when a greater danger threatens the phone, the fate of all emojis depends on these three unlikely friends who must save their world before it’s deleted forever."

Not only is my family similar to everyone else in the fact that we are technology obsessed, our youngest is pretty fascinated with emoji's.  Everything seems to revolve around emoji's to him.  The evening this arrived we all watched this as a family and honestly at least three times after the first right away.  We loved the spunk of the characters and they kept us entertained all week as we watched in bed, memorizing all our favorite lines.  I highly recommend scooping up yourself a copy!  This will make a great stocking stuffer for the family too!!
